Jamie I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and have been an avid viewer ever since. Love the way you take a seemingly average photo and turn it into something special and also the way you explain your techniques for doing so. I have to say that you have renewed my interest in photography which had waned somewhat in recent years. Now looking forward to going through my catalogue to find images suitable for the Jamie treatment and also shooting new images with this sort of editing in mind. Happy New Year to you and yours.

Really useful and interesting for a beginner like me. I was a professional photographer many years ago, Then I neglected it. At age 75, I started storing my photos on my Mac and working on them with Lightroom and Photoshop. With these tutorials a whole world of computer retouching possibilities opens up. To think that in the past century photographic plates and negatives were retouched by hand!

Hello Jamie. I have just finished this wonderfull tutorial and had lots of fun doing such an iconic building. I live in Canberra and retired last year. I treated myself to a 5 week trip back to England last May. I visted London, Richmond in Yorkshire and had 6 days in Salisbury. I stayed at the Kings Head Inn along side the river through the town which a delight to come out too each morning. The guided tour up into the roof of Salisbury Cathedral was a highlight of my stay. The walk to The Old Mill at Harnham through the water meadows with the views of the Cathedral was stunning. I'm going to tackle your recent tutorial of the Salisbury Market Square next. During my stay, I had a great meal and enjoyed a Fuller's Ale at the Ox Row Inn 😃. Cheers.

Hi Dave, thank you for the comment, I used to shoot Sony, I had an A7R4 with my favorite lens 16-35mm F2.8 GM, however about 5 months ago I transferred back to Canon, so now I have a Canon R5, with 14-35mm F4 L, 24-105mm F4 L and 70-200mm F4 L. That is my full kit. The Sony Camera and Lens' are truly stunning, the 61MP sensor in the A7R4 is by far the best sensor for full frame, however, I did miss the Canon colour science and the Sony GM lens were heavy and large. The Canon F4 lens are much smaller and lighter, so it works better for me, even if the R5 sensor is only 45MP and at least 1-2 stops less sensitive than the Sony 😀

  • @jamiermathlin
