Lightroom or Lightroom Classic? Local Mode could change everything!
Most Lightroom tutorials on KZread are in Lightroom Classic. But what about regular Lightroom, also known as Lightroom Cloud? One big change might start to make LR Classic obsolete.

Local Photo organization was a huge advantage of LRC. There might be some detail editing advantage but I’m finding similar capability in LR.

@@lightandmagicphoto I can't see how to access local folders directly in Classic... it seems to insist on "importing" the photos... I don't see a tab as there is on LR in this video... anyone?

@@lightandmagicphoto hi, tx for the response... but there are no folders visible on the left side, you have to Add Folders... and then when you do, you click on an image and LR classic still tells you to import it! Drives me nuts... I don't see how to NOT "import" my photos that are already on my HD...

The photos in that folder will appear in your LR library, where you can check/uncheck photos you want to import or skip. LRC isn't the most intuitive thing in the world, that's for sure.
Light room is for noobs. Classic is for pros
