Once there was a power-outage in my town and me and my sister loved it cause we made hot chocolate and had a laugh. One time my sister, mum and I conceived to have a "surprise black-out" where we turned off all the power before my dad came home so we could do the same thing. In hindsight it's obvious that he would've recognized that it wasn't real, but he played along for hours, after doing a ten hour shift, just so me and my sister could enjoy it. It was really sweet. His thoughts and concerns are 100% valid. voicing them is not. if he was that curious he could wait 2 minutes for the wheelchair user to leave the vicinity and see if the car has a handicap placque displayed in the windshield. if not, some places actually let you take a picture of the car thus parking illegally to send to the authorities so they get a ticket. which again would be dismissed if the person actually is disabled, so nobody loses out except for people actually faking a disability. and i highly doubt a lot of those exist outside of breathing problems to avoid masks.

I find the lightning strike fascinating, because it hits the truck, establishes contact, a carbon scorch leaves a trail, but the truck moves and it briefly reconnects to the tailgate before striking completely onto the ground between the vehicles

Lightning travels from the ground up or at least the part our eyes can see. It does not come from the sky down like it seems to.
That dad does the thing that all good dads do everywhere, everyday, and that’s make his kids happy, and feel they succeeded. I hope my son isn’t reading this, but after he found an arrow head shard while hiking at age 6, I started to go ahead of where we were hiking, and put full arrowheads (from a collection he’d never seen before) in the ground along an old dried up creek bed. I’d start poking around 5 feet or so away from it and have him start to go further and further from me until he unearthed an ANCIENT ARROWHEAD!! He was always so excited, and always wanted to go back for more!! We ended up finding maybe 3 or 4 genuine ancient artifacts over the years while having our hikes. He was always down for a hike with Dad! They grow up WAY too fast!!

Fun fact: a vehicle like that truck is actually one of the safest places to be when lightning strikes. On top of the metal being able to displace the electricity, the rubber of the tires keeps anything conductive off the ground.
damn the glasses so cool and practical
For those who don't know. There is a term ambulatory wheelchair user. It refers to those whose range of movement allows them to walk briefly. The circumstances differ between individuals. For example my girlfriend was born with spina bifida. So she can walk with the aid of crutches. Keep in mind she has to support all her weight on those crutches. So she tires quickly. And can only "walk" for short periods. Thus she needs a wheelchair to get around if we are going to be out walking for a while.
@TheFeldhamster

This! There's lots of people who can walk a little but really need a wheelchair for anything longer, like getting around a store to do all their shopping. Don't accuse people of faking like the guy in the video did. There's a lot of stories around of people who would need the wheelchair but rather tough it out for fear of having to deal with aggressive encounters like that and it makes their lives so much harder than it needs to be. I get that it's kinda coming from the right idea (people who don't need them shouldn't hog the wheelchairs) but don't do that unless you're 100% sure the person doesn't need it and there's an actual shortage of wheelchairs.

In Venice, which is a city where you have to walk everywhere, but also there are bridges with stairs everywhere, it's a really common thing seeing tourists in wheelchairs crossing a bridge on foot, often with help, and then continuing in their wheelchair.

@@poa2.0surface77 ok? But that woman wasn’t asking for anything, wasn’t harassing anyone, she was minding her own business. If you see a person doing nothing and harass them because you think you caught a “gotcha” moment, you’re a dick. If they’re asking for money, maybe you have an argument, but random ass people just existing isn’t a scam
