I like how, the second that invisible Sue was announced, everyone agreed "you know... it's kind of an improvement, since you can't see the face anymore..." It was a beautiful moment for the hobby.

I lost it at "Mustard Day" LMAO

I think that the two Hulks capture very different attitudes with the face. The new one is very much a monster, the kind of Hulk who has very little humanity and only exists to rampage. The 80th head is more of a "hero Hulk," one who's still green and mean but with a bit more of a personality underneath. He's the kind of Hulk who seems more likely to team up with the Avengers rather than beat the snot out of them. I personally prefer the 80th head, since he reminds me more of the attitude Hulk had in Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which had my favorite interpretation of most of the Avengers' personalities.

Yet another vote for the ML 20th Hulk to overtake the ML 80th on the shelf! I get it… I feel somewhat conflicted myself. The ML 80th is soooooo iconic in sculpt AND color. But that ML 20th is definitely retro (Sal Buscema stylized) and the shading, highlights, details, sculpts… just brings out the textures and details of the figure so, so well! A lot of people passing on it don’t know what they’re missing.

Exactly! I cut a part out where I pondered the 20th being in 80th colors, kind of the cartoon vibe, but I'm still super happy with the 20th. Way happier than I thought I'd be.

This was a really cool idea Robo, I'd be up to see more of these since I was considering getting some of these rereleases, namely Baroness and the Emperor. Speaking of rereleased figures would you recommend the Cantina showdown set? I'm considering getting it but was a bit let down that there's only half of the cantina bar.

That's another toy I haven't opened yet. I have the figures already and was bummed that Pulse wouldn't let me order another set to complete the bar. I even waited until the second restock but they still held to their limit of one, even though the package suggests buying multiple.

@@TheFwoosh It's a real shame too since looking up promo images so many are of two sets, finally looking at reviews I was a bit underwhelmed by how much you actually get, but it was also one of those things where it was hard to tell how the bar section actually scales with characters. Some reviews it looked tiny, others it looked fairly substantial. Here in the UK there's a limit of 5 per customer, I'll wait and see whether I feel the need to get a second one and I'll just sell the figures from one.

I like these, never a bad reason to go over new toys. Length was perfect. More please. Don't worry about the idiots who will go "omg you've reviewed this already", that is a first world problem, I like seeing small differences in troop builders and then seeing compared ot group shot'd together.

You could mix and match pieces from both Sues to make a Sue that is mid way through going invisible (like use the head, lower arms, hands, shins and feet from the invisible one and the rest of the regular version)

Might be great to get additional Baronesses to do repaint of her blue and crimson outfits.

Take the top off invisible woman and put in on her visible body and make her left arm visible as well then it’s more dynamic for the shelf where top torso right arm and head are “invisible”

I have a few of those blue Senate Guards. I feel they too need a cloak, or cape, Fwoosh Blue, of course.

missed out on dengar; now my esb bounty hunters are complete love this new hulk; great new head and nice paint on a great hulk body. was put off initially by the price but he looks great with my avengers team got rid of all my rogue ones, and im hesitant for these reissues, but that photo real looks great

Figure compares are my favorite kind of figure reviews. They help you decided what you want to buy.

I was not expecting to like the Hulk much either (I already had the SDCC version)--but those head sculpts are SO good in hand. It is also now my main ML Hulk.

I think I’m gonna put that retro baroness head on the old one and give her the black guns and that will be my definitive baroness, and I was also pleasantly surprised by hulk too lol think he looks better overall than the 80th version

Great video! A veritable smorgasbord of toys! I got that Hulk from the Dorkside sale as well, and am even more anxious for it to arrive after seeing this video.

I just opened up that 20th Anniversary Hulk the other day. I'm enjoying the figure a lot more than I thought I would, too. The head sculpt and paint app make a big difference with me. This might be my fave Hulk fig now.

Hey Robo. If you like the "human factor" of the PP Viper, you can pop the hands off, remove the bracers and the forearms are painted a skin colour underneath.

To be fair, Robo, as someone who's worn glasses for around 40 years now, my head also has indents like the ones on Baroness. I would say they're not quite as deep, but some days, it seems they are....

@@TheFwoosh haha! I talk to figures all the time. Sometimes when they fall. I say, "ok time for retirement". It forces me to rotate my figures. Also it also nice meeting you at the DorkSide booth. Celebration was fun, but I hope they get theor stuff together

That "sniper" looking rifle on Baroness's figure is a reissue from the Cobra Island Infantry Trooper. Also, the other rifle is standard-issue rifle for both the Cobra Island Infantry and the Cobra Trooper.

My plan is to put the helmeted Baroness head from the motorcycle onto the Retro Baroness body to use as a female trooper. Like she's Baroness' personal guard.

That Hulk has been sitting in my pile of loot & got the ship now or else in a week warning, so can’t wait to actually see how I like the hulk since I never got around to getting the two pack, also two swamp Plunderlings & two valaverse figures. Talk about Christmas in July.

I think your revisited reviews should be called "So at the end of the day", just a quick revisit where you left off last time! Nice to get comparisons to the old versions.

I will take any and all repaints of the Viper. Looking forward to getting a couple Python Patrol and the red and grey officer in the 3pack. Also, hoping they do a brown and gold repaint like the Sonic Fighters Viper.

Regarding the Hulk figure: I drybrushed some yellow-green on both of his heads in an effort to match them up with his body color, and....DAMN! It really IMPROVED the look of this figure DRAMATICALLY! Big time! If you go back and do that, and then also tidy up the paint on his gums, this figure is absolutely amazing! It also will spell out plainly that Hasbro could have done this for us, but they cut corners as per usual. Not a difficult fix for most customizers, but somewhat annoying, considering Hasbro's recent price hikes. After I adjusted the paint, there was one other issue that I still DON'T like about this figure. His head(s) appear to be a little too big for the body at first glance. The heads aren't really all that much bigger than the 80th Hulk's head though. It's mostly an optical illusion brought about by how low the Hulk's heads sits on his neck stump. They drilled the Hulk's head out a little too much in making room for the barbell connector I think, so you just don't get much neck showing, which throws things off just a tad. It's not by any means a perfect figure, but if you do that drybrushing on the face high spots, Robo, you're immediately going to see MAJOR improvements in the way this figure looks, and some of that flatness will disappear. I promise!

I like this mix reviews is random but cool.

I just picked up that Palpatine too.

I really wish they gave the Retro Baroness round glasses. they show that the glasses are removeable, but don't take advantage of that feature. I guess they have an excuse to release a third black costume Baroness in the future.

Maaan...I opened that Senate Guard and lost the lightsaber blade like 3 times. Started to glue it but after the last time I set him up and it hasn't been an issue.

I saw that Skiff Lando the other day. I’m surprised they stocked a new wave, what with the dozens of Gen. Landos warming pegs. I can still find a Jyn Erso at a couple places around here, too…. Baroness needed her helmet. Easy female Viper, right there. I got jealous for a second you had found “new” Joe Classified, but then you said they were from that promo box Hasbro sent out. You forgot to mention the AIM Mandroid helmet with Hulk.

Hmmm the scratches on Dengars armor really should be white, but I get it silver is better 🤪

Hah! Hasbro is at it again. Embarrassing nerdy ass moment incoming! The rifle for Baroness is the Nerf Rapidstrike and the sniper is the Longstrike. I was curious about the figure before, but those two blasters used for guns? I am definitely keeping an eye open for this xD

Hulk is better. I like all those iterations they put on that body. Shame new sculpt with better ROM for butterfly joint ent be anytime soon. They can keep churning that mold out, we buy it. I want a blue Baroness. I originally hoped this retro carded one would have swerved to do it. Oh well.

Now I'm wondering if the who's that pokemon idea came from gi joe.

They still haven’t released her, outside those promo boxes Hasbro sent out to reviewers. Well, the ones down here in the States. Several Joe reviewers up in Canada, only one got a box that I’ve heard.

How come this isnt a Figure or Fodder? while it is a lot about reissues, its pretty much the same format

I wonder if you can swap sue storms hair with baroness and use that headsculpt on sue storms body…that head is just so atrocious

dont like the hair style on hulk, deal breaker for me! he is not suppose to look nice and softy.
