Ойын-сауық
Hey coaster fanatics. This is my new and improved HD front Seat on ride POV and review of Lightning Rod. The launched wood topper track coaster is built by Rocky Mountain Construction or RMC at Dollywood. It has a drop of 165 feet, a top speed of 73 mph, and 3, 800 feet of track. This is a fantastic coaster and easily one of the best in the world. This is a must ride you guys! Not a big fan of the look of the new front ends myself. However, for the past couple of weeks it has been running with no front ends at all. And let me tell you, I truly hope that they don't put them back on. The blast of air in the face with them off is incredible. They should just put something on the front to look pretty and cover up the bolt holes and leave it at that.

I finally had the pleasure to ride this beast a couple of weeks ago. WHA A RIDE!! It made it that much better that all 8 rides i got on it were night rides too! @@CoasterFanatics Let's hope 2019 is the season.. From what I hear Dollywood has been working on it during the off season.
I agree this is a world-class coaster and I enjoyed it during my visit to Dollywood. My only complaint is the same complaint I have with other RMCs post-Iron Rattler and that's the trains. The restraints kill my thighs after riding it about 3-4 times, which limits my ability to marathon the ride. To me, I will always love the old Gerstlauer trains they use on the Texas RMC hybrids and I could just ride those all day long. Still an awesome coaster and in my Top 10.
@CoasterFanatics

@@CoasterCupcake I'm talking about "my" experience. Although I also enjoy ejector airtime, I do get what you're saying. This last weekend, I got several rides in on Titan at SFOT, and it's one big airtime hill made me remember how amazing that type of airtime is. Looks pretty neat but it does seem shorter than it should be. I rode steel vengeance at cedar point and I tell ya rmc hit it out of the park with that one. Steel vengeance has to be my favorite coaster. Not really has to be it is my favorite followed by millennium force. Cedar point was a new experience for me being from Pittsburgh my only real comparison was kennywood. Cedar point I love because they definitely focus more on coasters. I also loved the gate keeper. Although if your more nostalgic I'd say kennywood hss the upper hand on the wooden coasters. Like the thunderbolt with as soon as you leave the station a immediate drop and I believe a top speed of 60 something. I definitely need to experience some other parks with some crazy coasters. My first experience with a steel coaster was the steel phantom. Being a kid I definitely had to dig down deep to ride it. But I'd say the worst coaster experience I had was the rougaou at cedar point. The fact that my girlfriend looked at me afterwards and said "babe. Your ears are purple" and I was slightly confused from it definitely makes it the worst coaster I've ridden.

I'm surprised how few people do backseat POV’s when clearly that’s the seat of choice
Better than Outlaw Run?

CoasterFanatics why? I am assuming SteVe is #1 RMC though

Steel vengeance is my #1 hybrid. Outlaw Run Is my favorite wood topper track RMC. I kind of separate them and put them into different categories.
Is it okay if I include the POV in one of my videos?

Sorry to hear that. It seems they got the bugs out of it finally.
Not a fan of the Quad-Down, it's too forceful and painful. I do really enjoy the wave turns, RMC is building great coasters.

actually probably not. These coasters have some crazy engineering. they exactly what numbers it will take to get the train from A to B.

Seems like they have it fixed now. There were issues with the launch and the fact that the train was too heavy.
PLEASE learn how to manipulate the audio when recording live on a coaster. the sound/noise kills the video.

you'd hear the exact same wind if you were actually riding it and you're the only one that has mentioned it.
Skip to 4:29 to start the POV to avoid the bullshit chit chat.

I've noticed this guy does not go to Disney. Probably one of those idiots that acts like Disney isn't amazing since it isn't full of coasters. I think it more has to do with Disney being more out of his league in terms of being for only the upper crust. He has to go to freaking Dollywood and Six Flags Georgia....

Hi There. That's simply not true. I've been to Disney many times in my life. I just haven't been there since I started this channel in 2016. You see, My family and I have been talking about going back for a while now. Hopefully we can make it back over there this summer. I would have went this year for my Florida trip But it's very expensive and Disney is just no fun going by yourself. It is truly a family destination. That being said I am really looking forward to the new Tron coaster coming in a couple years.
