Poor Noel. He blamed himself for what he did for 500 years. The music at the beginning (which is his theme music) perfectly describes how he feels. Sad and depressed over his role in the destruction of the world.. He was willing to kill Lightning if it meant seeing Yeul again. His life story is tragic. He was born at the end of days and Caius even says that Noel "Understands the true value of life." He was willing to accept never seeing Yuel again to avoid making more mistakes. Only to have her appear and comfort him and say that he did the right thing, and that they would be together again soon. In the end, she was right. Such an amazing character and the music made it so much more memorable. I actually shed a few tears when I finished the story.

Noell is a King. He even pushed lighting with her Overpowerd new powers away, also he evolved, and choosed the hard, but RIGHT Way, instead of letting his ego controlls himself. Abolute Favorite Protagonist with Vaan.

+Allia_Oathkeeper Funny enough, one half of the fanbase didn't like him for his initial personality in the original FF13-2. THEN comes this side of him where he's like "I'll kill you for sure". Take that, fanbase. Noel is now pissed off just like that and doesn't give a damn about your hate lol

Tyler Iccarys Even though I never played any of the games at all and I've seen bits of them on KZread, I personally didn't have a problem with Hope in the second and third games. And in terms of hating Noel and Hope, I'm talking about half of the fanbase. TV Tropes' YMMV pages for the games are to blame for that lol. In terms of Hope's hate, most of it comes from his "wangst" that was quickly dropped in later games it seems.

I mean the slow charming song, a girl with angelic voice singing that song - first two minutes, when they talk, and Noel tells his story. I checked the whole soundreck - there's no such a song in there. I wonder if nobody knows.

The ATB Gauge is really annoying. The monsters and boss are so strong yet the ATB Gauge for each schemata drained fast.

do you go to the boss fight after doing all the side quests or... cus i just went for noel head on and it... i died... what do you have to do before this boss fight?

Pay attention to his attacks, learn the timing, guard against them. Use the stormbane choker you found in the graveyard. Deshell and stagger with lightning spell, use ruin or physical attack to slow the stagger decay. Of course leveling up makes things easier, but learning to defend will take you a long way in this game.

If you go in, gunblade blazing you will almost never make it to the battle. And this is literally the easiest boss fight in the entire game. So easy in fact that it only takes 2 minutes to kill him with Lv. 2 Thundara and Lv 1. Guard. By the point of reaching Noel, you need to have Sparkstrike Lv. 2, Blizzard Lv. 1, Thundara Lv. 2, since Electric and Ice attacks are his weakness. But you also have to learn to block his attacks or you won't be able to stagger him properly. Finally, you have to use at least 1 Overclock and switch between SparkStrike and Attack in two different schematas to literally take half of his HP away with just one OC use.

I disagree. Out of all bosses only Bhunavelzea and Caius proved to be harder than him. Snow is just tanky and that thing in the desert is easy. Honeslty, i think Noel should be left to be defeated later. He's fast, strong and surprisingly tanky.

Only thing I didn’t like about this game was that it was time based, like you couldn’t really explore

You can stop the time with one of Lightning abbilities. So this isnt really an argument. Even if you dont use that ability often, its no problem to explore everything in the game.

these people are lying. I used stasis regularly and still couldn't do everything by the end of the game. for me part of the appeal was managing my time and planning out what to do next and what to ignore etc also there's a new game+ so you can do stuff you missed

Except for the "soldier 1st class" outfit, you have it available to obtain as long as you have money. You just have to visit the stores and pick up the stuff at the Ark. You might need to travel a little to the Wild to get some stuff but manage time properly and you can get it before the fight against Noel. It would be good because you'll have trouble with the basic ones.

Not really DLC. You just need a XIII-2 save file

Lightning Returns's battle system is a bit of a headache in terms of customization. Your schemata limits you to 4 abilities each, 12 total. With the Command Synergy Battle System, you had access to so much more, and could dish out so much more damage.

I know right i had all my six paradigms slots filled in final fantasy 13 and i would always experiment with new roles just to see what works my mains being ravager, ravager and commando, all commandos and all medics

I noticed while playing 13 2 that noel and serah stats are way lower than those of the main characters in the previous game. They built to be weaker, i think.
