I’ve only been editing for about a year, I used to LOVE how gacha tubers edited and everything was so confusing, but now i can make decent edits in about 30 minutes to an hour.

I love your editing style?what?!😭😭😭

in conclusion: create a layer, clip it (always), set it to multiply, and choose colors for your shadows or something (using a felt pen and airbrushes). Then create another layer, clip it (always!), set it to add, and use an airbrush to add glow or make parts of the drawing brighter or more emphasized. Yay!! I learned so much. Thank you for the tutorial, it's easier to understand than most videos I watched ❣️

Each of these effects are great for every moment, like when your Oc is looking through a doorway or closet you can use the first style of effect, But when it's in a place that gets a lot of sun like sunset or sunrise it's good to use the second style of this effect, But the third style is good when it's in a place that kind of party

Adding on to this fun fact: The dust particles are made up of flakes of your skin and hair mixed with other things, like if you look closely and brush your skin you might see the particles ^w^

BONUS: (this may work for other techniques too, but I think this works the best for 5:25) you can also change the layer to Add instead of Multiply to get a brighter affect. It basically highlights instead of shading. This helps when you’re doing sunrises. Adding to this, I just found another mode you can change it to which is Overlay, Which kind of gives it a midday sort of vibe, but more towards the afternoon.
