    2700-3000 kelvin is the 2 warm whites we use, they provide a nice illumination onto plants, walkway etc with good clarity while keeping the tone warm which is subtle to the eye at night.

I feel like it was your what not to do. 😂 I can send an image of it. I also want some of your gutter lights to light my top of the house. I couldn’t find the ones you recommended. Good video, I enjoyed your comments and agree with most of your statements. However, someone needs to point out that your examples of light pollution (video time line 9:10-9:24) are a little misleading. I agree that the lights look better and will shine less light inside the home when placed on the side of and closer to the window, versus placing them directly in the middle and further away, which would cast a lot of light onto and through the window. But in your pictures, it is clearly seen in the first example the blinds are open with the louvers angled down so the light CAN shine into the room. In the second "AFTER" example, the louvers are closed and angled up so the light CAN'T shine into the room. I like the look of the lighting better in the second example, but the game with the blinds is misleading. It would be interesting how the inside of the room looks with the blinds being in the same position with the same degree of "openness" for each example.

  • @OutdoorInspirations

    @OutdoorInspirations

    2 жыл бұрын

    Right and good observation there, we had to rely on the homeowner to take the inside shots and did not give him direction on using the blinds- which makes total sense to mimic both open.

    Good, solid and practical advise on outdoor lighting. I assume the AOLP works within the guidelines of Dark Skies. I am Lighting Certified through NCQLP, and I don’t ever remember participating in such detailed guidelines and practical information on outdoor landscape and building exterior lighting guidelines. I would say LED has really advanced applications for exterior lighting and smaller fixtures. Great advice!

For example how many lumens we need to light a small tree ? what angle beam ? show us (in paper) one or two alternatives...or an example with a pathway etc... After watching this video, we still have no idea how many lumens should have the light-fixture we need to buy to light a small tree.
