Takes me back to my nco,s cadre course in Germany 1987, six weeks of hell in the Scots guards . I lost two stone and my clothes were hanging off me . At the end of the course there was supposed to be a course piss up on the Friday night, I heard only two turned up, me I spent all weekend in bed because we hardy had any sleep in the last week . A lot harder than basic training .

I done mine in 2006 with the Royal Irish Regiment in Breacon. Yes it was a hard course but i loved every min of it

Otterburn is a play park compared to Breacon and goin by the lovely weather it was summer time. Try doing it in winter. That seperates the men from the boys

Add on is the light Calvary all mainly reconnaissance?

Do u have to be from the north to join because I’m from Birmingham and would love to join But I think I’d feel out of place
