I really appreciate this, but my problem is, I can't seem to see the lifts and headers coming, unless they are really big. What do I look for?

There are basically 2 ways to see lifts and headers coming before they hit you: A) Watch other boats before you. B) watch the water surface ripples. This comes with experience. Train yourself to look at the water and the other boats, and your tell tales.
