LiftMaster 8365W-267 & Chamberlain B2202 on Clopay/Ideals
This is at my cousin's new house. They have a couple of idea/clopay pan doors that are very cheap, there's tons of light coming in from between the panels on both doors which basically makes the insulation on the doors useless. The 8365 is not an MC opener since it has gen2 sensors, and maybe someday I'll fix the install for the small door but I'm not sure if they'll care enough to want to buy the parts for it.

These garage door openers sound similar to ones I have came across. In my opinion the b2202 sounds like my grandmas friends b550, and the 8365 sounds like one of the 3245’s I have seen before
Wow that belt drive is quiet. Guess they didn't buy the rail extension kit when they bought that opener. The chain drive sounds like any other chain drive.
Wow nice the liftmaster 8365W is pretty quiet same as the chamberlain i like both Liftmaster and Chamberlain as well as Linear. The Chamberlain seems quieter

The Chamberlain was a bit quieter, their AC motors seem to have gotten quieter over the past few years

@@TBHD724 I can agree with that comment, I installed two chamberlain D2101MC made in 2024 and dear lord they were insanely quiet
That 8365 sounds pretty good compared to most of those I see on a daily basis

I worked on a couple last week that were almost as quiet as a formula 1 machine

They were from 2021, not that old but before the new cases came out

Why did the chain slap so hard while going up

The down limit is set too far making the chain slack on one side, so once it opens and the pressure comes off the rail it makes the chain jump up and slap against the rail

I bet u those are gd5s clopay shiplap joints on those suck. I have used window door foam between the sections to repair the gaps before

I'll have to try, that gap is just ridiculous. I'd like to replace these doors but they don't want to
The arm on the small door is too long

There's a lot wrong with how that opener is installed and I'd like to fix it, just not sure when I'll be able to.
