I just finished assembling my Lifetime shed (#60295). This video was EXCELLENT; I hardly looked at the manual. It took me about 15 hours, spread over four days (evenings and part days on weekend) and I did it solo except for two instances where I had my wife push on a wall to line up the screw holes. The video made the jobs super easy, and I'm no handyman. I had only one issue: The screw holes on the left rear roof panel were off by 3/4 inch. Solution: I used the bottle jack from my 4Runner, placed it on a ladder (blocked up with a few 4x4 pieces of wood I had laying around) and lifted the left side of the rear truss until the holes aligned. I also had to pull the rear gable panel inward to get alignment, which I did by slipping a rope through the metal channel on the panel, pulling it back until the alignment was right, and then tied off the rope. This looks and feels like a quality, solid shed. Thanks Lifetime for an excellent assembly video!

For the cross member on the trusses, I put the bolt on the inside of the channel, held it with a wrench and used a screw gun to tighten it.. After all of the pre-assembly was done, it still took 4.5 hours to put it all together

Everything is much harder than in this video, the roof panels are so tight it the truss grooves, there's no way you can just slide them in like this.

Warning!!! Don’t use an impact drill unless you have a torque setting on it and you make it really low. Use a screw driver as you can feel the tension when you are tightening the screws.

not to mention the user manuals, at least the 8x15 i put together where an absolute mess... mixed translation issues, mislabeled parts needed undone and such... wow... and I see there are a umber of structural improvements as well... really glad they are upgrading and creating the user friendly videos too.

Building this today and I am frustrated as hell with the instructions. I just built a Keter shed and I am so impressed with their manual. Every piece is labeled but this shed has you guessing. When putting in the roof panels he should tell you there are little holes that need to be lined up. His pieces slid in effortlessly mine has me struggling like hell. The wall pieces have popped out at the bottom because of the thin plastic holding it in. One screw has popped out of the wall it’s so wobbly. Keter sheds are much more stronger this shed I fear will blow away from the base in a strong wind like Dorothy’s house in Wizard of OZ.

Great video. A few improvements ñeeded on the shed itself. The snow lad kit should have all holes prefilled. Either using slf tapping screws or note and bolts. It is very difficult to drill the screws into the metal when no holes exist. The side window brackets do not clear the raised edge of the window so they will not install properly. Leveling the shed doors could be designed better if there was a opening in the front of the floor to allow the shims to get just under the bushing. A better idea would be to all the bushings height to be adjusted by leveling screw base like on a table. This can also be accessed through an opening on the front edge of the floor. Otherwise great product

We recommend only using a leveled cement or wooden platform. This will help your shed stay the most secured and will help during the assembly process with the lining up everything into place.

I built a wood base of treated 2x4’s with treated plywood on top. I levelled the ground below by digging down not building up. I also closed in all gaps in the sides of the base so I don’t get rats or anything living under it.

The video was great and I watched before I purchased my shed. However, I found it disappointing in that it shows the parts of the snow load kit as if it is included as part of the shed. It also shows hooks being included. The parts (identified from the website) of the snow load kit was not included and neither were the hooks. I see this as a bait and switch tactic. 😞

I’m sorry but this was 50% useless. Let’s start with roof support bars! At no point does it tell you which notch to put the roof support in, there are two and is the other one just for looks? One end has a hole in it as well which makes zero sense as no screws go in it and there is no mention as to what end which goes! The tiny little screws to hold the floor together are pretty much useless. I swear if IKEA had these there would be better instructions.

Only reason they made this video is because the instruction manual that comes with the kit is useless. Any halfway smart person can watch this video and put the shed together with no prob. Take the same person and try it with the directions 😂😂😂😂😂

You would build it the same way. Just keep in mind, the extra helper is extremely essential to help get all the parts in place.

We apologize about the frustration with the assembly of your new shed. What type of foundation is your shed built on? That could be causing the difficulties. Try watching this video on how to align your roof panels- kzread.info/dash/bejne/m4WN1dSaY8jOpNY.htmlsi=qptvvpzaxJnvzPpK. If that doesn't work, give our customer service team a call and we can troubleshoot the issue with you and see if we can figure out what is happening. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT).

This video is a complete joke and either heavily edited or using doctored parts. The parts just don't go together like he's doing it. For example simply sliding the metal into the door frame. Even after wd40, especially the round tube does not go in, they require lube, brute force, wiggling and banging. The manual has wrong parts listed, doesnt mention orientation of most parts. But the worst thing is you need 4 feet of space on both sides to slide the roof on, so your corner spot is no use. They could easily have made the roof slot in from the inside or even outside by clipping them in to the metal frames, but just bad design or money saving stops this.
