Lifestyle is Key: Brigantine, New Jersey | Episode 6. "Rest, Relaxation, & Enjoyment"

If I had to choose one beach in South Jersey that is my ultimate favorite, it would be Brigantine. In my early 20’s, I discovered Brigantine and instantly fell in love with it. And not for some of the reasons you may think.
I was a younger mom and simply wanted 2 things: A. To take my children to a clean beach and B. Because I was on a tight budget, not having all of the activities and a pier was pretty detrimental. So when the topic of conversation came up, I could respond to my kids, “Oh no honey…the Ferris wheel is all the way over there in Atlantic City, or let’s just enjoy the water and build sand castles, it would be true to the surroundings and “mom-desire.”
I know…**slap on the wrist-bad mom maybe?** I’d like to think more so along the lines of a young, smart mom on a budget.
Since then, Brigantine has been a family favorite. To me, it morphed from a shore where I can take my kids on a budget, to a shore where we can just go to relax, spend time with my family, and not have to spend all my money in 2 short hours.
To top it off, an extremely clean beach-in comparison to some other shores. Because the beach requires a beach tag/pass, it can be considered private. However, the passes are feasible. Just check it out right here:
Seasonal: $20 through the month of May/$25 starting June 1st
Daily: $10
Weekly: $15
Seniors (60-64): $8 ONLY DURING THE MONTH OF MAY/ $20 after May 31st
Senior over 65: Come in with identification for a free tag! You are only allowed 1 Beach Tag per Identification
When I tell you this town is really a great town with a clean beautiful beach, I think you should believe me or either check it out by taking a little ride and going yourself. There’s nothing like the experience for yourself.

Notes:
Brigantine Beach Tags can be purchased at the Brigantine Community Center, located at 265 42nd Street and is open from December through September. The Beach Fee Office can be reached by calling (609) 264-7350. If the beach is in operation you can purchase beach tags on the beach from the inspectors.
