Group 1 and yes, I was given shocking news just yesterday that a close friend of 30 years was diagnosed with extensive bowel cancer. She now has to have a full body cat scan to determine if it has spread to any other organs, bones and so on. Incredibly, we have just been through the only big disagreement which became quite nasty for me because I said flat out no to any more poor treatment from her. Now, I'm very grateful for the fact that I then recovered from the hurt to at least a degree where I still sent her healing through meditations leading up to yesterday's procedures she had. Even though I am dealing with my own terminal diagnosis and associated illness and I will not be able to support her through this in a practical and physical as I would like to, I was trained for many years in pastoral care and worked predominantly in oncology with the sick and dying. So, I do feel at least capable of listening and supporting her and her family emotionally.Well, on some days at least. And by the way, I have always known that buffalo was my animal totem.
