Karen Kriegesen: One of the dogs is an Irish Setter and the other one is an Irish Red and White Setter. These are two separate breeds, and both my dogs are kennel club registered. My Irish Red and White Setter was imported from the UK, the Irish Setter was born in Norway.

I thought the red and white was an English setter... never herd of the red and white irish sitter... nontheless they both look so cute and fun!

That was a great video! I have had three Irish setters in my life and think they are the most beautiful animals on the planet!

They are adorable! My first red and white will come in 15 days from her mother! Im so happy!!!

It made me both happy and sad, happy that you are enjoying the company of a red and a red and white, sad that our 3 reds and 1 red and white have passed on. Hannah Mahony Mine does exactly the same. It looks really funny and I have never seen a dog show his teeth in such a friendly way. Mine is 6 month old.

mine does it too but he does it the day before he goes into kennels he seems to know when he is going into kennels

I end up waking mine up just to pat her - the indignant look, but then she rolls on her back for belly rubs anyway

My best friend has a Irish setter and he is 2 on the 1st of June he is goes to shows. He got 1st out of 51 her mum was so proud ❤️🐶

Irish Red and White Setters are playful, reliable, devoted, loyal, energetic and affectionate while Irish Setters are lively, playful, energetic, affectionate and independent. They do well with cats if they are raised with them from puppyhood. I only use Salomon skis.

So similar to my pixie IRWS! She does the exact same things...especially the pawing.

I'm surprised yours can even sit or stand still for a moment. My irish setter is only some months old and has already destroyed so many things.

They tend to calm down as they age. Mine broke about 5 mobile phones, several TV remotes, a video camera, shoes and stole and hid food all over our house when he was under 5 years old. Now he is 10 and is really calm and behaves quite well.

They are very active and hyper dogs. You have to make sure that you are willing to spend half your day outside to run around with them in order to make sure they do not develop destructive behavior. Other than that, they are very friendly.

Ares have only destroyed a play pen and some paper he did try to chew up pillows blankets plushes random bags remotes iPad cases but he was never able to destroy them because we put them where he could not reach

There is four years between them. In most of the clips the red setter is about five years old and the red and white one year old.

We might get an Irish setter or another Goleden Retriever again

These dogs are not for the faint of heart they chew up everything from pillows blankets couches and chairs to play pens to paper ang baskets and bags and beds and cases and iPads and iPhones and computers and rocks and grass when we got are first one we didn’t expect anything and it tore up a couch and wrecked a lot of random things especially chairs now we have a new one and it does not do any harm to anything even though it chews up everything the only thing it has broken is a play pen (fixed) an

Can Irish Setters live in an apartment?

I have an IRWS and he was excellent as an apartment dog. He did get plenty of walks and time at the dog parks, but was quiet in the apartment and good with meeting all sorts of people. They are smart dogs and will adapt to new situations.
