Life-Size Mohawk From Gremlins 2 | Assembly & Painting Tutorial

Ойын-сауық

#gremlins #tutorial
Today I'll be showing the process of assembling and painting a bootleg Mohawk model kit from Gremlins 2 (minus the actual mohawk, haha)! This was a lot of fun and I learnt a lot in the process...
Enjoy!

Silly putty is a good option for masking, it will flow over time so you need to mask than paint pretty soon after. It also flows faster the warmer it is.

First of all, big congrats on the wedding Chris! Haha, I feel like that announcement and the level of skill that went into this build are like a culimination of everything I've seen and heard from Cosplay Chris over the last decade'ish or so. You've come a long way in life and a long way as an artist and creator. This build was amazing! Keep up the good work my dude.

Nice work. Patience is always the key to success when doing projects like these. As to your observation about his one eye being slightly higher than the other. I heard that crestors will often skew the features of villains to give a viewer a sense something is off about the character. Even if they're only aware of it subconsciously.

Oh no, chris!! I never have any constructive criticism for you, but having gone through this kit years ago, there's one MAJOR oops. The kit came somewhat deformed, (check your legs), and the kit needs to be heated up and shaped to rectify this. Once the oddities are corrected, submerge them in cold water to firm the vinyl back into position. It took me 2 swings at these kits to master, but virtually every seam will fit together with minimal putty needed, including the neck gizzard... Big fan of your work, and congratulations to you and your wife!

I'd be stoked to see especially model kits like this or statues. I understand that they can take more time and money but I also believe they are worth it in the end.

Back to the question from your Screen used Halloween Props video my choice for a dream Halloween Screen Used Prop is A Screen used Blumhouse Halloween 2018 mask but the mask he wore when he got shot by Karen Strode with a sniper rifle from the final showdown in Halloween 2018 until they find out he's alive in Kills. That's the mask I'd want i have a TOTS Version of the mask it's called the 2018 Bloody Mask. my first mask in my collection now i have all three Myers masks from the Blumhouse trilogy. All made by TOTS. Hope you and Chloe enjoy the summer. take care my friend. - Jordan from Jman Fett Cosplay

I’m gutted. I had one of the original Neca statues. I had no idea until I saw your previous Gremlin video that they were infact a limited edition of just 100! I had it for quite a few years, but finally sold it about 10 years ago for something like £60.00 Sterling, which is about $114 Aus dollars I believe. I think I only paid about £150 for it from a collectibles store who had it on display, so technically I suppose, it was second hand. No box or any literature. I remember it had a beautiful paint job.
