Life's Too Short - Dating Agency
Ойын-сауық
My favourite scene from BBC's "Life's Too Short" S1 E5.. Couldn't find it on KZread, so had to put it up myself.
Warwick visits a dating agency to find his next woman after splitting up with his wife Sue. "Too short Warwick, Way too short."
Very funny scene.

Warwick is so good at acting, that he sells you absurdity without either looking like he’s acting, or that he’s being absurd.
You can tell Ricky Gervais wrote these lines
@timmay444

Yeah, I know it was a long time ago but the majority of lines/characters have that David Brent flavour about them. Seems a bit of Gervais narcissism showing through - generally he has to ALWAYS be the centre of attention. He is a good writer but an annoying prick at the same time.

This, in my mind, is an even better, stronger show than Extras & Office. To put himself out there, mocking the prejudices of others, at his expense, is marvellous. And the acting talent in this man doing it believably is just...mindblowing, really.
Warwick, what a complete lad
So sooo funny! Best part in lifes to short!

Ignoring the comedy, Warwick is a handsome guy, and can have a laugh.

Warwick doesn't realize the danger he's in here. Warwick isn't going to give Toby the credit he feels he deserves for Warwick's dates and Toby's going to start getting resentful at the perceived slight and his hair is going to start turning grey and next thing you know, Toby's setting up dates for West Ham.
My favourite episode is with the washing machine 🤩 this one is right after the school bully

If you think calling someone a midget is insulting you are claiming that being a midget is something not to be proud of. That there is something less worthy about being a midget. Which makes you the one that is insulting midgets. Just be proud of who you are. Don't let these toxic people get to you. They claim that they want to help but in reality they just want to dictate what people can and can not say. They only want to force their will on people and could care less about the individuals they are claiming to help. I am bald and fat but I am proud of myself anyway. No one is perfect. Specially people that think they are.

well obviously the style of the show is the same, as its directed and written by steve and ricky, but the characters, and the subject of the show is different, so i dont see your point.

Lazy comedy by Gervais. Characters should be innocent of others shortcomings. Basil Fawlty didn’t call the Major a forgetful idiot. Brent didn’t intentionally insult people. This series was just a name calling exercise for cheap laughs. If you like this I can guarantee you like little Britain, another “comedy” that lacks pathos and subtlety.

It's The Office but shit, tired, boring, unoriginal, with the same old jokes, where every actor is trying to imitate David Brent. Very very poor. Derek was better but still paled in comparison to The Office and Extras, I just hope he doesn't revive The Office because he is clearly out of ideas. Without Karl Pilkington he would be in serious danger of becoming irrelevant.
