Great episode with Rachel... lovely to get the f1 background. Just a bit of a pity I can't agree with some of the outdated comments on EVs that have been pushed by the media... but many people have been duped by them. Hydrogen is not green but again it is a very technical conversation. I do agree that for some EVs are not the solution, reducing mileage is the best green thing to do... it's a pity we all love cars too much 😊

Faithful listener here, and SKY F1 subscriber. I only knew of Rachel what I see on TV. I had no clue she was such a petrol head and from a racing family. Now I have even more admiration for her. Good Stuff. Really nice chat. Sorry, I am with @richardheasman4174 below too. I am currently a Diesel driver getting 60-70mpg, but I also recognise the benefits of EV's. Some of spurious arguments from Rachel were misnomers purported by the media hellbent of damming EV's - utter nonsense in most parts. The roads need to be full of a mixed group of fuel types, every technology has its purpose, no single type can fit everyone's needs, but to dismiss any because of distorted propaganda is foolhardy. And whilst her comments were her personal opinion, they don't match with the SKY0 greenwashing they like to spout forth to tow the company line. Neither does flying 64KG of shoes and clothes around a 21 race attendance.

Great episode. I'm one of the "normal" people that knows every number plate on my families cars. But.... i can't remember any of the number plates of my cars now that i live in USA. Maybe English plates are just more memorable. 🤔 Keep up the good work guys. Very entertaining.

All these posts about how "horrible her takes are" on EVs had me thinking she was going to say some crazy ish... But we must have been listening to a different podcast, because all I heard was a level headed and very fair criticism of EVs.
