As I was reading your commentary I read the part how you said" Even the single person has much to lose, their innocence, their heart, and their capacity to truly give themselves time the ONE God has for them. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I struggle with this, but why did God make us this way with desires and to ultimately be sinful beings? Why if he loves us? Go forth and multiply, why create us with sexual desire to then make a sin? What is sin, I think our understanding of sin is wrong… I don’t think sin is the act but what comes from the act, the shame and guilt is the sin!

I struggle with this, but why did God make us this way with desires and to ultimately be sinful beings? God gave us many good desires, including the desire for sexual intimacy. Sexual intimacy was created to be a good thing and IS a good thing between husband and wife. It is sin when practiced outside of marriage between a man and a woman. Why if he loves us? Go forth and multiply, why create us with sexual desire to then make a sin? The desire is godly, but it is to be experienced in marriage. Sexual desire is not a sin, only the misplaced desire. What is sin, I think our understanding of sin is wrong… I don’t think sin is the act but what comes from the act, the shame and guilt is the sin! Sin is anything that misses God's design. Sexual sin can happen physically, or within our minds through fantasies, etc. I hope that this helps.
