Not all Walmarts were like that. The one I used to work at (left due to current job) had an entertaining side once you went past the workers only doors. For a few examples a few of the management team liked to joke around and act like a bunch of jesters getting the rest of us to laugh. The manager of the entire store didn’t mind getting his hands dirty helping the rest of us with our departments when needed even if it means his outfit gets dirty due to dirt from gardening or one of the cleaning chemicals from maintenance get on it then he would joke around afterwards. Due to that and various other things you could say we all had very high trust and loyalty to the managers. However once the manager got transferred and someone new showed up all it took was around 2 months and many quit or transferred somewhere else (many aimed where the old manager was transferred to).

Where is there a Walmart where you can find any employees? And if you do find one, can they really help you? One time in my life I actually had an older fellow in the light bulb section of Walmart who was incredibly helpful; he knew everything about light bulbs (I mean everything!) and was more helpful to me than any store employee anywhere in the past 20 years. He had been working there for 19 years. He should be making way more money.

He was probably a retiree that just needed a little extra cash due to cost of living. I really enjoyed working with the younger or older crowd. Quite a few people will work entry level jobs their whole life but act like they shouldn't be there. The kids and the retirees were generally good workers in my opinion.
