Honestly, i never knew this until know. While it still blows my mind of this significant detail, it still does not affect the fact that a girl was on the verge of ending it all. Every time i played LIS i grew closer to Kate, because honestly i feel a connection with her. Im autistic and honestly i feel like i got bullied behind my back. Being able to save Kate gave me a sense of clarity honeslty, saving a victim

Kate: "I'm sorry.... sorry..." Max: "What are you talking about? You saved me from talking in class." Max is reassuring Kate that being up with her here, on the rooftop, isn't a hassle or an inconvenience (and by association, Kate isn't a hassle or an inconvenience). By being up here with Kate, Max doesn't have to be sitting in class where she will be called on to talk (and answer questions)

@ghostkitten6779 OHHHH thank you! For some reason, I thought when she said "saved" she was talking about something further in the past, like when she first woke up after the storm dream. I was so confused, because Kate didn't save Max from talking in class back then. Now I realise what Max is talking about. Thank you!

I thhoght about this dialogon the roof too. How I understood she means Mr Jefferson ask many questions on class. After incedent she gratefull that she shouldn't ask teacher about her photo for Every day hero.

@@a2b._ It's not meant to be taken literally. 'We never noticed Kate' is referring to not noticing her through the window, not in the whole game. It's just acknowledging a clever detail by the developers since they didn't HAVE to go to the effort of putting her up there - especially considering almost no one noticed. But they no doubt wanted fans to discover it some day and experience that pang of sorrow that she was there, just faintly in the background, which is probably how she feels. A similar technique is used in the movie The Rules of Attraction.
