I agree wholeheartedly. When I first played life is strange I was 12 and I'm turning 20 in 3 weeks. So them releasing a full on sequel directly from the first game is very nostalgic and a full circle moment for me and I'm sure everyone else. Life is strange was there when I was going through a hard time. Especially before the storm, I couldn't ask for a better franchise and a better character than Max and chloe. Can't wait to finally play double exposure

Same I was 16 when the game came out and started playing it. LiS was a huge part of my 2015, even my fashion style changed drastically because of the game and made me go back to punk music (I only listen to the genre when I was 12). Now I’m 25 and seeing Max back into a new game of the franchise has made me so excited that I just started playing the games again! I cannot wait for october, I hope we would see Chloe as well though

The more likely fact is that Chloe will be like an incoming flashback, I definitely don't bet that the developer will think about two storylines to think through, we don't have a bioshock, Alan Wake, etc. here. Let the main thing be given a choice, and not so that somewhere behind the scenes it was decided that Max left Chloe (I'm talking about the ending with her salvation instead of the city), if this happens, of course, it's nonsense.

If chloe is dead, maybe pictures of chloe, and stuff about her powers. Will be interesting tho how they'll cater to both endings

Well yeah, but 19 to 28 doesn't usually look like you become someone else entirely. Kid Millie Bobby Brown didn't grow up to look like 28 y/o Natalie Portman (or whatever pairing people usually make comparisons for. You get the point). I dare anyone to succeed in showing new Max to an og player who hasn't seen this and get them to react in a split second and identify Max Caulfield correctly.

@@ghju I am an OG fan, I knew it was Max the moment her face came on the screen in the trailer, and not just because of the voice over. It looks like Max, just older and with better graphics and a different art style. I'm also terrible with faces, so if I can recognize her, I question how much the people who say she looks different actually played and paid attention to the original game.

You don't need to have played the previous games as the new one with the right writing will be able to convey Max and Chloe's history if told well enough. Its brought up in the convo with Safi for instance

It looks like the owl is just like the butterfly: The reference point that will be the 'reset point; for Max's timeline and, I suspect, in the end, the choice will be Safi or the world being devastated by a meteor strike. Because these guys can't make Max suffer enough! ;-)

as a guy who cries like once or twice a year on average, the first game had me crying daily for WEEKS after playing it. like i remember whenever the game would come into my mind, id immediately just start bawling. this is hands down the most impactful game ive ever played, and the fact that we're now getting a direct sequel to it is genuinely amazing. like its someone ive been DYING for for years, but i was sure itd never happen. this might be the most excited ive ever been for anything in my whole life, so i really am praying that they know what theyre doing here, and this will be a good sequel. fingers crossed

@@AcuteAngl it'll probably get revealed, but seeing as how when Max shifted timelines and she was still friends with Safi, this implies that there is a Max within the timeline she visits, and I would suppose this one has sinister intentions there are some faults with this theory as the one timeline which Max is originally from where Safi is alive, she says that the killer is going to strike again, but maybe that just means the One Max from the other timeline has visited our Max's timeline

​@@eliza7720 I understand but i kindly disagree. Chloe is not confirmed to not be in the game. I personally loved true colors and its been 9 years since weve seen max in games. its a bit unfair to judge this game based entirely on a small trailer. Just be happy we get another LiS game.

Only one way to find out yall when the game comes out and if they start asking questions about what all you did in the first game and if they hit us with did we choose to save her or not that's going to let you know right there that she's alive but only for the people that choose to save her will be the one to see her

It’s missing a gritty-ness the original had. This is much more polished, sweet, and clean. The original had this dirty lived in feeling like i was stepping into a lived in dingey and homey space

Ohh man, when I am thinking about: We have her in Life is Strange (The original very first game), in the prequel Before the Storm, in the Remastered version of the first game. She and Chloe are at least mentioned by David in Life is Strange 2 and we see a very nice photo of Chloe and her traveling around. In the Wavelengths DLC of True Colours we get the events in Arcadia Bay mentioned by Steph. And now we finally meet her again. I started very late playing Life is Strange 1 but it feels so good to have her back. Thanks Max and thank you Hannah Telle. ❤👍👍

Honestly so happy to see the full trailer, it brought me to the point of tears to see my favorite character come back to life in a game that holds so much meaning in my life - even if i was very distant at first given its a throwback to the original series after the handover to decknine. excited to play!

I have a quick theory… Max keeps going to different timelines, obviously trying to save safi but keeps messing up. In one of those timelines, max sees chloe, alive and doing great. Not knowing what to do max is stuck between staying in that timeline with chloe or going back to the current one to save safi. Orrr… When you first start up the game, you get prompted with “Did you sacrifice arcadia bay?” or whatever like life is strange 2 did. If you sacrificed the bay, there will probably be chloe in some scenes with max in the current timeline. and if you scarified chloe, well… no chloe in the current timeline

There are many problems with this approach. New players who don't know anything about Chloe and even for those who have played the first game, it would make sense to do everything to save Safi, as she's the one Max will spend most of her time during gameplay and the players will have an emotional attachment to her. So if letting Safi die would result in Chloe being alive, it wouldn't have enough impact. In the original game, the Choice between saving Arcadia Bay or Chloe were both very impactful. If Double Exposure is gonna have a similar two-choice ending, I don't know what would be equally important to saving Safi.

I think the green was actually a result of the colour fading and staining her hair after neglecting it for a long time, since there’s also a lot of growth shown in the photo. I think there’s the possibility that she either re-dyed it within the timeframe or even just stayed blonde… 😮

What a perfect blend of cartoon and realistic character models. They finally nailed it.

Thank you for bringing Max back. The other protagonist, not that they were bad but none of them match Max and her powers that add to the gameplay and story so much. This is very long overdue but I’m glad I get to witness it finally! Now that we have Max back let’s figure a way out to make all these games tie in together like a bow! Let max meet Alex and run into steph. Let’s see daniel 10 years later meet max and max try to help him control his power! Max is the centerpiece of this universe and y’all gotta accept that!!

I watched Life is Strange when I was in sixth grade in 2015 from the bottoms of my heart thank you guys so much Max and her story got me through so much.

what i hope they do with the chloe dilemma is like with lis 2 they ask whether you sacrificed chloe or arcadia bay and shape the game like that so it follows ur path not the canon one. either way i WILL love this game ❤

1. They do say in the interview in this video that you are asked about your major choices from LiS1 at the beginning of the game and it influences things going forward. 2. Canon is relative when you're in a story with a multiverse.

I feel like this game might have a similar outcome to the first one, in that Max has to give up her powers again, to stop the world from ending. (I'm basing this purely off the two moons shown in the trailer)
