Life is NOT a Journey (story 35)

Hi Friend,
I continue my adventures in the Utah backcountry with my friend Abi. It's been so beautiful to experience sisterhood, after so much solitude. We find one of my FAVORITE campsites ever, explore Capitol Reef National Park, and I share one of the most important thoughts that totally changed my life.
Keep shining. The world needs you.
Lyss.

Alyssa sweetie you are absolutely right. Life is not a journey, it's more of a quest. A quest to find the things in life that make us truly happy. Weather that be friends, a loved one, or even just a place that you stumble across accidently. My wish for you is that you find nothing but happiness along your travels. May you never go to sleep without a smile on your face. 😍 As always, BIG HUGS from Tennessee! 😁👍

All those fluids and other checking weren't in her earlier life. She probably doesn't have any of those fluids to refill. And how to read these areas that needs to be looked into. All those were learned while we were much younger. My dad used to have me or my brother check them. We were on a farm.

I disagree. Regrets are part of being human and without regrets, you don't grow and mature as a person. Animals can't regret, but being a person has that important capacity.

Listening to Mr.Watts speech, watching this beautiful video, man I’d be lying if I said it didn’t tear up a bit. Those words just hit me hard, cause that’s my life. Now 42, my life seems empty…what have I really done so far?! It’s always been wake up, go to work, rinse and repeat, since I was 10 years old. I’m so happy there are people like you with this platform to inspire others. Hopefully people will latch on to that, and take that chance too, rather than follow the cycle. Life is short, you wake up one day middle aged and look back and say, where did that time go?! You move been a robot for 20 years and have barely lived in the moment or explored what this life really has all about. This right here…this is what it should be about!

Many years ago John Steinbeck made a journey similar to yours. His book "Travels With Charley" tells the story of his journey across America. It was a vastly different America than today. His inspiration changed my outlook on life and has served me well through many years. Regretlyss translates for me to "No Regrets" in which I've lived my long life. I've passed these traits not by mere words but in the way I lived my life as an example to my 3 three children. Do it now and never look back and by God it's been one Hell of a ride. You've done well to embark on such a journey and may you be an inspiration for others to follow. Simple words that can have a profound effect in someones life "Regretlyss - No Regrets".

Once again Lyss, you brought something new to the "vlog story table". This is the secret of any creative story teller and writer. I never quite know where you are taking us when we start each adventure, but as it unfolds... it is usually thought provoking, real, and always beautuful. Like any great song, there seems to be a rhythmic pattern and just when you think you have it down... you throw us a surprise. It is the balance of these patterns and surprises that keeps life interesting... your stories are just like that. The introduction of the Alan Watts audio was just what was needed to bring home the surprise of how we need to "focus on the dance". Even though he died almost a half century ago, his words are nonetheless alive and still true today. We (in particular, Americans) are so busy trying to "win" the dance, instead of living the dance. Because I usually spend the first view in the premiere chat, I normally go back and watch it several times so that i don't miss something. I can't always do that with vlogs or movies I watch. But Lyss, your stories always give me new facets to see and think about every time I watch it... it is uncanny... new things and new ideas on multiple levels. Amazing. Lyss, I want to thank you for thinking so much about us, that you would spend this much time to take us along on your journey. ✌️ Til next time... I'm going to remember to focus on the dance 🕺.

I can really relate to what Allan was saying about the progression of life. The school, career, living life in a blur, striving for decades. Only to retire old and worn out. For me, it's always been the little things in life. Nature has a way of slowing things down, soothing the soul and quieting my mind. The arch at the park you were at looked amazing, and so did that food you were cookin! That store in the rock was cool, too!

Some say that they are not who they are supposed to be but that's the knot that keeps them stuck, untie those knots and say I AM who I AM right now because I AM a tree ever-changing always rearranging what we want is to know.... But first we must grow ... Don't forget that your gift from God is a present 💝 it's the present moment and it doesn't exist in the past and is always waiting for US in our future so don't ruin the surprise by looking too far with your eyes focus on the now because your exactly where you are supposed to be... This is regret less because worry only slows us down and keeps us tied to the ground but we are meant to fly high up in the sky and you should by now understand why🙏🤲🌻🕯️🗝️

This is exactly how I've dreamed of my healing going. I'm a little to old to start now at 47, and I've learned to except somethings aren't in the cards for me, so when I say thank you for your vlogs, I can't mean it enough. You've put into videos things that have been in my head for 20+ yrs. This is the closest to reality of it that I've been....your story will forever be my favorite story. ❤

Normally, I'm a passerby and seldom am captivated by any one KZread video, or series. And then, quite by chance, I came upon a vid by someone called "Regretlyss". It was a van build vid and I'm always interested in seeing how people create and do things. I was fascinated. Not just by the building of your bus, but, by your personal stories. Those were what caught my attention. And I watched each video you put out. And I listened to your stories and I found myself wondering what could have happened in such a short life time so far (at my age, you get some perspective on life's challenges and what we think of as being a "long" time). But, then I realized that you were expressing yourself about your own personal life's journey that has encompassed joys and heartbreaks that every human being who has ever lived and will yet live experiences. But, you have the talent of self expression that EVERYONE can relate to and identify with. Believe me when I say that is a rare gift. And it is a gift. To be able to experience life and share your passion so openly, well, I am humbled to have run across someone like you. I may be older in years, but, I share your passion for life. Though I'm not as courageous about sharing that passion as you are. Because you are so willing to share your feelings, you're likely to experience more intense joys and sorrows because of it. Only you can say if that's worth it. From where I stand, when your life's journey is over and you look back on your life and see everything you did and experienced I suspect you're going to nod your head in approval and say "now, that's a life worth living". No regrets. Regretlyss. Hah! I just got that. ;0)

Life is a difficult proposition. The only certainty is the fact that we die; worse yet, we never know when that's going to happen.

Discovered ur channel at the rightest moment. Same issue with me. Doing babysteps into what's honestly good and profound. Very true to start grow urself, seek loneliness and make friends with it. Not everyone survived, but its worth trying

Thank you for your content. It is, from my perspective, full of wonder curiosity and a sense of playfulness that is lost on us as we grow old. If only more people could retain or rediscover their inner child, I think the world could be a much happier place. The depth of your stories is aw inspiring and the way you tell them is breath taking! Thank you very much for sharing, you're amazing soul.

Bless the few who live this way, the somewhat larger group who watch/help fund this way, and all the rest who do what is needed to support everything else. May you not discover that in time of need, those you reach out for are immersed in self-discovery.

As we grow it’s easy to fall in love with stuff that we have but when we don’t have it it makes it more memorable because we don’t need a destination to be free and fulfilling the life we chose to live

Having emotioned about those precious little moments of life isn't silly at all but that should be all about! If not all, yet we should be able to stop every now and then just to breath and see what universe has to offer for us. Keep shining💛

Having someone to share your joys, your sorrows and everything in between is always better than doing it alone. Whether that's with a partner a friend,or even family. You have Rio but she can't give you advice but she gives you love... Beautiful scenery, music and production on this video. Your narration is the icing on the cake.

Thanks for this one. I appreciate the thought that life is not a journey. It's unfortunate that we're all programmed to live that way. Glad to see you out there living in the moment. And glad to see you are having fun with your friend. See you next time. 👍
