@Leighannsays use small window tension rods to hang curtains in your lower cabinets. You can use any fabric you like. It’s as simple as sewing a straight line down in side for your rod to go into. You’re an amazing Mama. We all doubt ourselves sometimes but you’re rocking it! Lucy is doing so well!

I literally started clapping and squealing watching Lucy girl sit upright holding up her back so straight and with perfect posture to play with her paint pens! How amazing, you go girl, so in awe of your hard work and achievements!

I don't know why but while watching this, all of a sudden I got a flashback of how you used to do your nails WAAAAY BACK IN THE DAY with the 2 halves in different colours 😅. Just made me think how much life has changed since then 🥰 we've all grown up so much.

You just need a tension rod with cafe curtains. Cute addition. Change out with the seasons. 😂. Life is messy so if your blog is messy it’s real life 🤷🏼‍♀️. No worries. We’re all a mess too.

I am sure you already have seen this, but in case you haven't. Water wow would be so good for Lucy to paint independently and not make a mess. You fill a brush with water and they paint on the book and it colors it in. This way if she hits herself with it or her surroundings it's just a little wet. I think she would love it. You are doing such a great job with her. It is obvious how well adjusted and happy she is. That is not an easy feat with an average kid let alone one with unique needs. I applaud you and Grant. Lucy is so Blessed to have you two as parents. Having a sister with CP and a kid with health issues, I know how hard it is to be the one taking care of the medical stuff and it is exhausting. Please take care of yourself, I know it's hard but it is so needed. Hugs and Prayers for Lucy and her sweet family.

Thank you so much for your comment! Lucy is a light for us 💙 I haven’t tried the water wow painting set up but I definitely want to. We have a marker/coloring book that works similarly and the big challenge is keeping it from turning into a chewy ☺️

For the pantry, use some tension rods and curtain hooks to cover the bottom of your pantry shelves. Just the rings with the clip on them were great. If it’s not too tall, you can use actual fabric napkins as your curtains. Worked great in a kitchen window for me for holiday decorating.

Great idea I used to use table runners for regular windows as a cafe curtain. I love the idea of cloth napkins- they’re plenty for small spaces & come in such fun fabrics. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The cabinet curtains are super 50's and super cute. I've done it with simple tension rods then you can change it up if you want in the future. LOVE watching you be a momma, and so glad you are back more, LOVE your videos girlie!!

Lucy is gonna have muscles in places I’m not even sure I have! Those exercises look so hard. I know that they’re great for her and can see how strong she’s getting but I would need a nap after doing those as well. Bravo, Miss Lucy!!!!

I love watching you do therapy play with Lucy. I wish we had some intensive therapy places around here for my granddaughter (she had a stroke while my daughter was carrying her and has cerebal palsy). I’ve followed a few therapy places you showed or talked about and those and watching you with Lucy helps us with her. So thank you for everything and keep on doing the awesome job you are mama!

for the pantry: a great general rule is that if you have to move more than one thing to reach another one, the system is wrong. I've organised and tidied my tupperware cabinet a lot of times but not with this rule and it always goes back to being a mess... but when I use this rule in other places they stay organised (at least for a longer time) so I have to figure out my cabinet too with this system

Oh man, we LOVED Sandra Boynton books when my baby was little. I remember buying The Snuggle Puppy book for Valentine's Day. My baby will be 17 this year. Thank you for sharing your life and little Lucy with us! Thank you for also keeping her mostly private. :-)

I use the winter months to clean out closets and declutter as the warmer months I want to be outside.

Lucy is getting so strong! we have the cabinet curtains on our coffee bar. we used a tension rod for the curtains and it’s held out pretty well over the years. You could certainly do them yourselves.

Love our people in Texas ! We find new homes for our things wherever literally. I have hubby dragging our flower pots in the garage etc.

Watching Lucy do her exercices is the most heartwarming thing I've seen in a while, she is such a strong kid! Hope the rest of the year will feel less messy!

Since you're travelling all the time you should keep your toiletry bag packed. Get travel sizes or pour your products into bottles you can take on a plane and just leave everything in there. Get things like a hairbrush and toothbrush just for travel so you can leave them in the bag and then you're always ready to go.

I do that already 🤪☺️ I had to get really picky and clean out extra stuff and it got much more manageable after this trip.

Lucy is such a beautiful girl. She's so blessed to have you as her Mom and of course you all are blessed to have her!

you can buy some small tension rods and small window curtains for the pantry! just have to measure it make sure you get the right size but it would be pretty easy and cheap to do! :) the curtains def remind me of my grandma, she had those in her kitchen. Little curtains with apples embroidered on them, so adorable.

Lucy sitting up while you're talking is impressve, she's so much stronger. Luna watching her eat is lovely. So excited you got a standing wheelchair (that's my next goal for a friend who's a quad). It's will help with building those muscles and positional blood pressure. My big goal is cleaning out the "Dead Body Room" (all the stuff from dead relatives has been stored there since before 2005. Stuff needs to go and I want an exercise room); also ainting my bath and bedroom so new flooring can be laid. Thank you for asking, LeighAnn.

Leighann, I got that sick bug as well on Christmas Eve. I didn't know how I was going to cook for Christmas but I did most everything the day before so not as much to do. It was rough! So sorry you guys got it too. I am very careful to wash my hands and I don't get out much but I did go to my sons to drop off his gifts and he was sick so there we go. I guess because my immune system was down, after I got better, I got the shingles! They were bad enough with itching but the pain was unbearable! It laid me out for 3 weeks and I am still dealing with nerve damage and pain. My doctor said it's the worst pain she has ever seen anyone go through. Not starting the year off right either.

Lucy has made leaps and bounds in progress! You and Grant must be so proud of her! She’s such a hard worker and has the sweetest smile.

I've done curtains on cabinets and it's looked nice. Warning though, don't do it around piping and stuff (moisture gets stuck and permanently damages the cabinets, etc.).

Watching the simple times with mummies and their babies makes me so emotional! The silly/crazy things we do when alone with our babies 😂 treasured memories

I don't have a goal this year, but my word is brave. After 10/7, I've been nervous about going out in groups and doing a lot of things that bring me joy because I'm Jewish, Israeli and live in an area where it's not the cool thing. I just need to suck it up and not hide and not let people rob me of the things that I love. Sending you all love for a wonderful and healthy year!

Get tension rods for the curtains! Its super easy to cut fabric and put grommets in so they slide easily

Real life! 🎉 for the wheelchair! But also it seems that Lucy is getting stronger each time we see her. Also loved seeing Luna in this vlog - she loved cuddling on your lap!

Your Christmas sounds just like ours. 😅 My daughter and I got the stomach bug A WEEK after my husband. On Christmas Eve. 😩Thought we were in the clear…then my 9 month old got it. My kid’s symptoms lasted a full week. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Then the whole family got the flu. 😂 I’m so sorry y’all went through that too!!!

I've done cabinet curtains as an easy DIY. Velcro tabs, cute fabric, and peel and stick fabric fuse- no sew!!

You could use tension rods in each cupboard; also you find the bottom half of kitchen type curtains. Just a suggestion

Small spring rods and cafe curtains at the right length should be all you need, and clip on ring make sliding them easier.

I’m a developmental therapist and you are honestly a DREAM mom! I wish every child could have a mom that put that much work into practicing developmental skills! It’s a full time job, but you do it with so much grace and make it look like so much fun instead of a chore. Also, where is the link for the curling iron?

Every time Lucy is working so hard I'm literally going "she's so strong, yes girl-go!" to my computer. Incredible little girl! Also- My dad sewed and installed lower cabinet curtains at our house when I was a kid! :D It is very cute. I would say just make sure you can easily take them off for washing since they are lower/around food.
