I have lived in big-city environments for all of my life and this video shows how much... freedom there is here! I have never seen grass as far as the eye can see, never seen a farm, let alone a horse, and I just feel like living there is so..... beautiful. I will definitely move there when I'm older

OMG!!! The landscape is just BEAUTIFUL! I come from a farm in Northwest Iowa and here we have crops where I live and some livestock while western Iowa is livestock mostly but all the crops the farmers grow go directly to the cattle.

Anything's better than inner-city San Francisco driving a taxi, it's killing me here. Rawlins Wyoming, I'm coming one day.

Chris G It's amazing here. Although the winters are terrible, it truly is something to live in the open and have deer sleeping on your lawn everyday.

GRRRRRRR....you are really making me jealous, Auto. I wish I had the $ to buy a house & live in WY. There are 19 (!) spots in WY that I MUST visit while I am still alive & only one of them is in Yellowstone or the Tetons. Most of them either have no name or are completely unheard of for all practical purposes, other than to the locals. You Wyomingites are truly blessed!

Chris G Yeah, I'm blessed to have been born here! Although I have never left Wyoming, I am never bored of it here. I hope one day you can see the wilderness of Wyoming, you might never leave.

Have you ever heard of the Cub Creek Plateau? It is in the Teton Wilderness just north of Togwotee Pass. I want to see it REALLY bad. What about "The Gash" or "The Crack"? It's near Blue Bank Road & Tensleep. It is a fairly recent geological phenomenon. I think it was caused when the ground caved in due to saturated soil after Spring snowmelt. It may be on private property so I'm not sure how easy it would be to view it. It made national news & that's how I learned about it. What about the Lankin Dome or the Ferris Mountain Fins? Did you know that Two Ocean Creek provides a continuous watercourse betw the Gulf of Mexico & the Pacific Ocean? It literally cuts the North American continent in half. IIRC Isa Lake in Yellowstone Park does the same thing, too. There is this tiny, insignificant hill that is 20.7 mi east of the US 287/WY Hwy 28 (Dickinson Avenue) T-intersection that absolutely blows my mind. When driving west from Lander it isn't all that spectacular -- it looks like just another high point on a long ridge; but when driving from the EAST, from Sweetwater Station & coming down from the Beaver Divide, it is FANTASTIC! It doesn't have a name that I know of but I call it Tadpole Hill 'cuz it looks like the body of a tadpole minus the tail. You CAN'T miss it when driving from the east 'cuz it's right in front of you. Its multiple layers of colored rock makes it look like Neapolitan ice cream. Please, PLEASE take a few pics of it for me if you can. That hill is PURE Wyoming! I haven't even mentioned your State's history, have I? There are FOUR ghost towns at the southeastern end of the Wind River mountains (Elkhorn, Atlantic City, South Pass City & Miner's delight) that I want to photograph. Going jackelope hunting would be cool, too, LOL. I hope we can stay in contact 'cuz I am absolutely CRAZY about Wyoming. Yes, I know your winters are long & brutal, not to mention the fact that I LOVE hot weather (I consider 65 degrees to be COLD & I am a proud Arkansasyer who enjoys sweating to my State's high humidity)....but if I won the lottery I would move to Wyoming in a heartbeat. Lander is where I would like to live.
