Life In The Extremes with Dr. David Richard

Throughout this lecture, Dr. David Richard, presidential professor of biology, discusses the impact of climate change on living organisms in our world's most extreme environments - particularly high-altitude mountain ranges and frozen landscapes. Additionally, he discusses his research on hypoxia and hypobaria.
Dr. Richard joined Susquehanna's biology faculty in 1993. Soon after arriving, his love of travel inspired him to co-develop a precursor to the Global Opportunities (GO) program, which still runs today as Focus Australia. In addition to serving as program director for GO Australia, Dr. Richard also leads a GO program based around high-altitude trekking with the Sherpa people in the Himalayas.
