    El Fogon is a great place for tacos. Make sure to check out Las Guacamayas. El Herradero has the best seafood molcajete I’ve ever had. Also Rossy’s you can get a couple of shrimp tacos and a beer for about 5.50. They have a fantastic salsa bar. No Bad Days.

    Hi. I’m enjoying your channel. My husband are planning a trip in May to San Jose. I’m weighing options on all inclusive vs a hotel. We don’t speak Spanish or will rent a car so all inclusive is looking good. However we’ve stayed in Barcelona in an air bnb and managed well. Difference was that was 5 years ago and we were very carefree. W Clovid I feel more guarded but miss the beach so much. I’m torn.... any advice or suggestions?

  • @laura-bronner

    @laura-bronner

    3 жыл бұрын

    It depends on what you guys are looking for I guess. I have never stayed in an all-inclusive so can't really give much feedback on the experience here. There's no real need to fear not speaking Spanish here, pretty much everyone in San Jose speaks English and everyone we've met has been incredibly helpful and kind. The restaurants in this town are truly spectacular so if you enjoy trying different foods then maybe an Airbnb would be a better option for you, but if you're just looking to enjoy the beach, then maybe an all-inclusive along one of the nicer swimming beaches like Palmilla or around that area would be better?

  • @laura-bronner

    Palmilla is closer to San Jose - about 10 minutes by car and incredible beautiful. Slightly longer beach, really nice for swimming. Chileno is closer to Cabo - probably about 20 minutes from San Jose, slightly smaller, also really beautiful area and a great beach to snorkel right from shore. Both are worth checking out.

    Living in Cabo implies tremendous savings for retirees on fixed income to sustain a comfortable way of living, as their retirement fund can be stretched 20-30% in contrast to the average living cost in the US, due to the always favorable exchange rate, and because food, utilities, and everyday services are less

    I have never been to Cabo but am going in one month. I’m having such a tough time deciding where to stay. We are two women travelers in our 30s. Los Milagros hotel looks beautiful but we prefer to stay on the beach. We cannot stand the mayhem of vendors and obnoxious blaring music. So we don’t want to be on Medano beach, right? But we also want to be NEAR action, not too secluded or near too many elderly people. We are so confused. We also don’t have an endless budget. Do you have any suggestion of what area we may enjoy?

  • @laura-bronner

    Maybe staying on the beach in San Jose del Cabo would be a better option then. I loved Six Two Four which is just across the street from the beach and pretty affordable on Booking.com but there are lots of beachside hotels along Playa Azul - also all of the beaches along the tourist corridor like Palmilla and Acapulquito have hotels on them, although I'm not certain of the prices of those. Getting around is super easy, nothing is really "far" - there's always a taxi around and Uber is available in both downtown areas.

    Alena The Baja is the safest in Mexico, I have travelled it's length by motor cycle and car, never had an issue. Tijuana, Mexicali, and other border towns I avoid. We Always cross at Tijuana and take the coast highway (beautiful) to Ensenada. (this is where you get your visa) then head down to The Old Mill in San Quintin for a night or two Never ever had a problem in the Baja, the people are awesome. There are local police federal police and the Army present in the Baja. Tourism is there #1 industry They look out for you pretty good in the Baja Cheers
