As a fellow Air Force retiree married to a nice Korean women (35 years) we did the same type tour during the 4 years we lived in Korea. Some of the best food I've ever eaten! Unfortunately after about a week, I was like I need a steak and potatoes! Great video, I may have to learn how to cook some of what was shown.

It depends on whether if you can eat such food or not. Most Korean food is spicy. Although I am Korean born American, I had hard time finding reasonably tasty and nutritional food in Seoul. Unless you stay at Western chain hotel such as Best Western or Ramada hotel, by yourself alone in Jesu or any other cities in Korea will be a challenge. Moving around within Korea, you will be okay because there are English speaking directions or signs everywhere. Most young people can speak English, too.If u are flying from Florida, the distance can be close to 6500 miles or more, one way. If this is what you really want, I can help you to travel with me(flying RT and some help w/informaion for your safety and wellbeing. I will only stay in Seoul for a month at a hotel. I will avoid crowded areas and wear mask when I am out of hotel. We only live once. If your health is okay for long flight and can handle strange food(if u have never eaten Korean food), be courageous. U may leave comment on Eternity1217 on KZread if u are serious about your trip to Korea. I live in BWI area. Nevertheless, best wishes for you!

@Eternity1217 Thank you! I so hope I can make it there! I watch Jeju videos and it is so beautiful and I love seafood! One of the reasons I want to visit is I absolutely love Korean food, my fridge staples include gochujang, doejang and usually a couple different kimchi! I have learned to cook many, many dishes from Maangchi on youtube(I actually bought her big Korean cook book!) and a few others! I love sundubu Jjigae and eat iit very often!

So happy you’re enjoying Korea. But, I remember when you said. You don’t wanna eat animals, Bcause you don’t want to contribute on the abuse and suffering. Would you share t me how you overcome that thought while eating pork. Genuinely curious. Not tryna throw shade at all
