Life in Golf's Minor League
Спорт
Being a player on the Web.com Tour means facing competition similar to the PGA Tour, but with the budget of a college kid. An atmosphere like this can create some great bonds, which is why we tagged along with Jonathan Randolph during a tournament in Utah. He guided us through a standard day on the tour which involved a game of catch, fly fishing, plus some golf.

one of my high school friends plays on the web.com tour. He's unreal at golf. He beat Brandt Snedeker in a playoff to win a tournament when he was 22 and got his card for a couple years. Then he broke his ribs and hasn't been back since. He has the same career best pro round as tiger with a 61, but hasn't even made a million dollars in 15 years of professional golf. He'll finish top 20 in a tournament and take home a smaller paycheck than if he sold used cars for a living. Some months he'll play 2-3 tournaments and miss every cut. He's 37, has a family, and it's starting to wear on him. Every year he says he's retiring.

This isn’t true
Golf is life, like I've said before the Grind, The friends, but I want to show it from a different side--I know you see this all the time (White Guys playing golf) I've been a Caddie for more than 15+ years in the ChicagoLand area at C&C recently went to Cali and caddied so I know a thing about this Sport. I want to show the "Black side" of Golf, I'm not trying to divide us but I know people or I hope people want to see Black guys or kids that play Golf, or see what we think of the game. I want to show that trough Film, now I don't shoot low YET but I know I have great stories to tell--I just need help in this process.. I'm now trying to empower myself in away that I can show the world but, it's going to take sometime in the next 3yrs look out for me...

You should be upset at the portrayal of what you think the life of a borderline professional level athlete that the video made out and not some random youtube comment. So when you looked up the 15k did you notice that was the first time he received a check in 3 months? That he missed 3 consecutive cuts after the previous payday? The point is you never know when your swing will give out on you and you cant spend lavishly when the future is uncertain. Plenty of examples in golf, even former household names

If I was on one of these minor tours I would dedicate my entire life to making it on the PGA Tour. I would not be fishing, and messing around.
