OMG this is so scary, please don't do the nasal syringe cleaning with kids. I don't know what water you're using plus the way you were doing it is completely wrong. the water has to be normal saline, sterile. if you're using regular water there are bacterias that can travel to her brain which can cause severe damage, as well as doing it the wrong way can cause damage to her nasal canal and sinus. Its not safe at all, please if possible try kids nose suction but this is too risky!
