I am using a 'Life Fitness' T3 Treadmill which is a awesome machine. The machine runs smooth but lately as I activate the incline mechanism taking the incline to incline 15, the machine makes a loud cracking noise on the way up or on the way down, but once it has reached it's intended incline level it goes quiet again. Has my machine developed a fault or impending fault about to happen?

Eliminating the belt tensioner is not a feature, it's a cost saving choice. Instead of providing constant tension to the belt, now we rely on technicians to proper adjust this, and over time this will go outside specs. I am looking at old models (9500hr NextGen) and marvel at their build quality and over-engineering. They stood the test of time being build like tanks but hey....got to move on with the times, right?
