This week I travel to Chiang Mai with my friends Anna & Barb. We jump into a hire car and drive three hours to an area called Phrae to Mercy International's Children's Village. This beautiful children’s village cares for babies, toddlers and older children from difficult family situations; Many of the children’s parents are in prison, are drug or alcohol addicted, or single teenage mums with no family support. Anna had come up with the idea to spread some Pickleball love by providing two courts and a whole lot of donated paddles, balls and nets to the children. After spending the first day setting up the courts, the second day we held a coaching clinic to introduce all of the children to the game. What a great success! These 58 children gave us the greatest gift; joy, thankfulness and pure love. Thanks for having us, and I can't wait to come back!
