It's funny they neglected the most important aspect of a game like this: aesthetic. Just look at Sims 4. The game is barebones and barely works but sells like water cause it's pretty and people like to create beautiful sima. LBY is ugly in every aspect of it. It's just not ready and they know it. I just think it's weird that they seem to not e able to fix it

I most definitely agree. The art is just not memorable and honestly just needs a major overhaul. If they decide to do that, who knows when this game is coming out.

A lot of people like to build pretty houses too and hardly ever play with sims. So yeah, good build tools and looks fairly attractive to a general audience sold a lot of Sims 4.

Think its something they really need to address, while I know its meant to be early access and stuff like that may get polish along the way. I think its going to put many people of from getting it that isn't people primarily interested in just the gameplay aspects, think even if word of mouth become strong if gameplay is good. Not having it nicely dressed visually its just going to be less appealing, like people may try convince you a cake taste really amazing but if it looks really bad you may just not try it to find out.

The decision to delay was a publisher decision. It's only been a week since the announcement of the delay, though there is a rumor that there might be an announcement on Tuesday.

I can't wait for this game! The gaeplay seems to be what i always wanted,

I don’t know if its ‘cooking’ right now so much as Paradox reevaluating the team after now three failed promise dates. Sometimes time is needed to polish, sometimes time is just circling the same problems with no progress. Time is not a guarantee of better.

@@LouisianaCityboi Absolutely not, in fact the “indefinite” delay should have been made quite a bit earlier as clearly they were struggling through continuous micro pushbacks and new dates that weren’t changing much about the state of the game. I just question if its ever coming out without some changes in the core team. And its less just delaying to “polish” and more all the vibes around this particular delay show they’re not really progressing no matter how much time they get. The boss (Paradox publisher) absolutely stepped in and pushed the breaks this time which could show a loss of confidence in the game ever and I question the game getting where it needs to be.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing games all of my life, but the art-style is not bad like some people are trying to make it seem. Sims 4 is not a “pretty game” - it’s cartoony and childish. When you dress it up with Alpha CC it looks even worse. Now, I’ve played the original sims all the way to sims 4 and 4 probably has the weirdest art direction out of all of them, not to mention the shallowness of the game. These new age “Karen gamers” are some of the most astronomical entitled people that I’ve ever seen in my life. If some of y’all are so hung up on the art-style, then wait for InZoi and let the rest of us enjoy LBY.

comparing sims to any other new competitor is just silly. they had 4 iterations already. sims1 looked just as dogshit. but it was also new and great for its time. let them prototype and build upon it. the reasons it's not out when it was promised cuz of the outcry of ppl that couldn't be pleased even if your only purpose were waking up every single day just to keep em happy.

Sims 1 for console and it's many iterations were fun and still are. Urbz and bustin out still bops.
