I’ve lived in India for so long that when I have Japanese food, I often feel it is very bland. It can be very tasty, but I’m afraid I’ve become to used to spices in my food, even when I go to the US sometimes I find myself searching for something with a bit of a kick. Doesn’t shopping while on vacation feel like more than when at home? I’m always practical with my shopping at home but tend to splurge on fun things when away from home. The birthday tie looked nice on you. I’m so glad and not surprised in the least at the huge reception you got at Kabukicho. I loved the flared shorts and the cropped jacket. You looked very good in them. My Hubby gets lost n vinyl shops and comes back with dozens of records. I felt kind of sad that you didn’t get more days to just hang and get the feel of Japan. Going on a work trip makes it hard to get local fell. Hubby has been to a zillion places, but if you ask about them he doesn’t have a clue because it was always, airport, hotel, conference room, perhaps a meal out, back to hotel, back to airport. Other than a bit of shopping that seems about what you did except your conference room is a stage. You poor things your eyes are fried from jet lag. Turning around in less than a week is painful. I hope you get time to go out and get a massage, it helps to ease the jet lag fatigue.
