Hi TT & Jake! I can relate to this video. I left Ohio at 19, and relocated to Chicago. I say I grew up in Chicago, Partying, 1 hour sleep and go to work. Thank you for sharing. I didn't learn a lot of what I needed about myself is really I. My 40's. I was a single mom in my 20's. Then I was Married. I didn't grow up with my dad so I experienced a lot of what you went through T.T. I've completed a lot of personal goals and I feel like I'm ready but really God does know the plan he has made for our life.

I’m quite a bit older, but I related to you TT when you said that you did the work and then God knew it was time. Then Jake really nailed it when he said he knew he was ready when he realized he would never be really ready. I met someone in the pandemic as well. I had completed almost a year of singleness and working on me/healing. They had been abandoned and asked could we hang as friends but I declined because I didn’t want to mess up what God maybe working on for us both. Then a few months went by and they asked again to go out as friends. I said yes, we really were there for each other so much. They had to move due to circumstances and still had some baggage and my heart hurts. We still speak often, but the distance. Thank you both for sharing your perspectives on intentional dating it’s quite lovely! 🥹🤗

Everything you said is on point! What we allow WILL continue. Taking the time to work on yourself before a relationship is tantamount, but also just for one’s SELF regardless of relationship status.

You too are so sweet, I like how you learned and are learning yourselves and that's how you grow. You know when to give each other space but you know when to come together and be there for each other believe me know matter how old you get we will always be learning. Keep putting in the work and you will see the blessing :)
