It made me emotional to see how plants are such a big part of your family’s lives too. You’re so connected to your family and ancestry in a special way 🥹

As a Vietnamese person, I feel like it's engrained in the culture haha. I swear, every Viet auntie or uncle (incl. my parents) I've met is obsessed with plants, especially the fruiting ones or hoa mai!

That’s right. As a agricultural civilization Vietnamese lives harmonically with nature. I am living in Europe then I realize that here people eat much more meat than in Vietnam.

seeing the ending of this video made me really emotional. there is something so sacred about the country your family comes from, esp. as a first generation in the states.

it made me felt nostalgic memories from my childhood, cold marble floors that u have to take ur shoes off, walking around the neighborhood to greet elders, riding bicycles around, eating delicious food with my grandparents and many more. i would love to go back to vietnam again haha
Your grandmother is so sweet telling you to pick the berries and giving you a handful hehe

He ought to have learnt some basic Vietnamese like Kam En, Ba.
Your grandparents have a beautiful home and garden! The amount of food they produce for themselves is impressive! The Desert Rose is called Adenium Obesum in botanical lingo. I love the peacefulness of your videos; very relaxing! Thank you!
You captured family life in Asia so well, made me so nostalgic. Like your dad I’m a first generation immigrant and went through the emotions of leaving your family. You are so talented, thank you for sharing your videos with us. ❤
I think in the future you will have many fans from Vietnam if they see this video

Incredible, Benji. Your family is so warm and welcoming, and their country is beautiful. Thank you so very much for SHARING this with us. I feel honored.
This video made me miss Vietnam while I am living in Vietnam though. And I literally cried in those last moments. A pity you cannot speak Vietnamese, but somehow you understand what Vietnamese people say to you. Your mom and dad, and your Vietnamese family are so cute.
Your vietnam videos should literally be the official Vietnam tourism ads.... It literally makes me ache to go visit the country . ❤. thank you sm for taking us on this journey ❤❤❤😊🌻✨
Thank you for Sharing Vietnam with us. Your family is beautiful. I feel privileged to have had a glimpse of the farm and their home. ❤
I loved your video. As a younger person, stick close to your family & you'll do well in life; you are blessed with abundance & love.
I could never stay away from these tropical atmosphere.. seeing all the beautiful greens, sun shine and clear skies everyday give me all the comforts in heaven..
Living in nature and always doing something with the land is so wonderful!
When I saw the clothes rack rolled out, I remembered how dryers are such a western / American thing and that in most Asian countries they hang clothes to dry.
It’s quite beautiful to see how your family traditions and livelihood translate into your life and interests in the western world. Thank you for sharing that part of yourself with the rest of us.
Xa quê hương đất nước đã lâu, xem được như video này rất xúc động, cảm giác như mình vẫn còn đang ở nhà , xung quanh là người thân bạn bè ,họ hàng , sung quầy đông đủ ,huhu nhớ nhà vãi

Nice. I search about Viatnam Buddhist monk Thich Naht Hanh. While scrolling get the video. IT is good. 🙏
What a beautiful video! Made me tear up at the end, seeing your dad hugging his mom takes me back to saying goodbye to my gradma at the airport. It's very difficult to have family in different places of the world but it also makes us appreciate each other more. You dad also reminds me of my dad, he's very sweet. Im so glad for you that you got to take that trip together with your dad and thank you for sharing it with us!
I don't know why I am crying but it was such a beautiful moments of a beautiful family 🌼
The relationship you have with your dad seems magical. Father and son but friends too. Thanks for letting us tag along.
This video embodied the love your dad, you and family have for each other, with the large farm and countryside. Such vast family farm output! So beautiful. Almost brought me to tears in the end.
I had no idea Vietnamese families just added on to their property as the family grows! That’s so cool!
Hi Benji! As a Vietnamese myself, i found this video very comforting and peaceful. And i also realize i could never feel relatable to it as well, because i come from a broken family and toxic relatives. But thank you for sharing your golden moments with us, it took me down to a memory lane that I never had before.
I've always envied those who are close with their grandparents. Sadly, by the time I was old enough to visit mine, they had already passed away. Seeing others share such precious moments with their grandparents stirs deep emotions in me, filling me with both longing and envy.
This was absolutely beautiful- cried at the end when you said goodbye. ❤
Grandpa assembling the cloth rack is so adorable. 🥺. I also like how connected the family is. Usually, people tend to spend their time on their phones and other electronic gadgets, even when they visit family members whom they haven't seen in a while, instead of spending quality time enjoying each other's company. This family is the complete opposite of that. It melts my heart to see such values being upheld even with the young generation 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for showing a slice of local life in Vietnam, almost similar with the country life in Philippines. We both have closed family ties. I love watching your videos there's always this feeling of calmness I get whenever...your being soft-spoken, the way you make your stories, the plants etc is very relaxing.
So nice to see that watching and flying kites are still being enjoyed by people. Brings back some fun childhood memories for me.
The thing i miss about having grandparents, just visiting their simple yet lively homes with all the animals. My grandpa raised goats and they would come home by themselves every evening after eating up the bush and grass around. Seeing them as we got near the house from the main road always put a smile on my face. I really miss that...
Southeast Asia countries really have so much in common. What I see in here is no different than any daily lives in Cambodia or Thailand.
A typical life in the South of Vietnam, so peaceful, y'all gonna miss it
beautiful simple countryside life ! eating what's growing around is so rewarding ! this is crazy to think all this country went through in the past and how they managed to heal and to thrive again !
It's weird to me how many scenes look like something I would see here in the towns of El Salvador (in Latin America) because Latin America and Vietnam have nothing in common! The video made me feel nostalgic and all warm inside. Loved it💖💖
I love how all the family live together, and take care of the farm. Your Grand parents house is so unique and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us.
What a delightful video of your visit to Vietnam! I love the farm and your grandma is adorable she seems so sweet, I can see where you get your soft sweet demeanor from which is a special asset in today's world! Kudos!
The way your grandma hugged your dad in the end. So sweet. Heart warming video 🥺❤️
I spent 21 days in Saigon and HoiAn. Best trip I've ever taken. I was there with my nephew's wife's relatives. Thanks for the tour. I can't wait to go back. Amazing country!!!
the nostalgia sleeping with the net i remember sleeping with that when i was younger i still do if i go to vietnam and meet my other family side
Oh! Your calm and soothing video really made me long for Vietnam since I’ve been born and raised in the west and only went there two times in my life 🥺 thank you for sharing your grandmas home and life there ❤️
My husband and I absolutely loved Vietnam when we visited and want to go back again, such a beautiful place
i live in the philippines and its so nice to see the similarities between my grandma's house and yours 💗
This make me miss my grandparents house in Indonesia. Similar vibes and the mosquitos net too
Hi I really enjoy your videos and this is quite a different one than your usual videos but I liked it a lot. Pleas keep producing videos and have fun. Greetings from Germany Tim
now why did this make me emotional
I can tell you your dad really enjoyed it I know my parents would love to go back to Mexico and I will be there myself when that happens… I myself was born in Mexico and brought to the US when I was 1 year of age hopefully in the next 5 years we as a family will go visit it’s harder said then done ….. there’s no one they know that is over there currently all have passed on my parents are in there 50s
vietnam is amazing because it is really green and has beautiful landscape
this video brought me to tears
Such an emotional trip, I could feel you connecting to your ancestry, and seeing your dad home with his family is so beautiful. Your family is so amazing, seems like a majestic life to live.💚🪴☮️
Your dad oh my goodness your dad. I laughed so hard at him. He’s such a joy and your mom to.
such a lovely family...we love Vietnam....watching from the Philippines and Riyadh KSA.
I absolutely love you and your family. The beauty of their souls is amazing. The kindness and respect for each other, and the beliefs they carry through from generation to generation is so inspirational and it is absolutely gorgeous there. Thank you for taking us on this trip so many things I would’ve never ever seen in my whole life what is kind to be kind
It’d be fun to follow a KZread series of you and Chris getting a property in Vietnam. The garden you’d come up with would be out of this world.
As a Vietnamese, i'm sooooo happy to see this video 💕💕
I am really touched watching these nostalgic scenes 🥺 it’s just incredible and dreamy for me!!! This peaceful life in a village… is just so sweet and healing. When I was a child I also like these sour berries.
Your dad looks a lot like his mother. Thank you Benji for sharing this beautiful piece with us. I am sure leaving like this requires hard work, commitment and discipline however I think humans were meant to live like this in harmony with nature. Food is a LOT of greens Seafood etc...people not rushing but not sitting around either. Grandma and grandpa still active. Your aunt was wearing an interestingly fun hat😀. Love that video Progress should not mean destruction of nature but that unfortunately what happen so often.
so much good family vibes i could cry right now i've really gotta do something with my life, to go out there and find a cozy place with good friends.
it's so special that your family has that pond and so much beautiful plant life. sweet little connections between you and them :)
Aww, this mad me miss my family. When I was younger, my extended family were so involved with one another, but now, not so much.
The pink flower you pointed is called Adenium. Saigon is pretty much the same with all country side in South East Asia. I live in Bali anyway.
What a beautiful family you have got! Take love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️
So touching. What a beautiful life.
I used to have a farm in VN. I miss it. My dad had rare woods in it, rambutant trees, durian trees, sugar apple trees, coffee trees, and so on in the farm. We harvest only once a year and we had enough...
So nice that you shared. A beautiful memory for you too!
I don't know if it's because I'm pms-ing but I shed a few tears with the last clips. These Vietnam videos were wonderful, thank u Benji.
what a beautiful garden, ur family is so sweet and fun~
this makes me excited to be home in the Philippines during the holidays. haven't spent the holidays there since i came here in the year 2000!
I was really missing the plant videos but these vlogs were so sweet I love seeing the countryside and the plants that your family has grown.
Your family warms my heart
Bro its like my hometown im SEA too, best feeling ever to live there
Happy for you and your Dad to be able to visit his home country. Would love to go back to Vietnam.Such a beautiful country ♥️
Tết năm sau bạn hãy về Việt Nam nhé. Tết vui và hạnh phúc lắm đó. 🇻🇳
It’s like visiting my family in Mexico!!!! ❤
Desert rose = adenium And those small ripe pineapples look amazing, like what I had when i lived in Nicaragua.
What a beautiful family. This video makes me long for a simpler life. Someday.
thankyou for sharing your beautiful family life - I have visited Vietnam as a tourist but your videos allow a glimpse into everyday life filled with love and compassion for each other. I loved it. And the kites -such gentle fun! cheers from New Zealand
Wholesome content That somehow continues to get better, thank you for sharing bits of peace-loving life
I'm so happy when seeing your video about the coutryside in Vietnam, it made me feel peaceful . I hope you still cherish of the memories of the time you spent.
I've never seen such a beautiful video
This video makes my miss my grandparents so much🥲
The boat with water 😂 those are the memories you won't forget and will hold forever in your heart❤️ it reminds me of my parents small pueblo in Mexico, I'll forever love that place for the memories, the food, and how close it made me feel to nature and my parents. As a first generation these experiences are the ones that keep you grounded and humble because you grow up thankful for the small stuff. That ending made me tear up ❤️
Reminds me of our province house in the Philippines, the countryside looks almost identical and the architecture is very similar as well, especially the different tiles each room lol. Such a quaint neighborhood and people living in such a simple lifestyle.
This is so magical, thank you sooo much for sharing with us such an intimate piece of your family and culture. The lush trees, the sounds of the water and wind, and the kindness of family make this such a warm and beautiful video- one of your best in my opinion. You're so lucky to get to experience such a slice of paradise
I think it is so sweet that you have this time with your dad and family. So beautiful.
Benji, I want to go with you, on your next visit! What a beautiful home! I would be so proud, to call this my home! You showed us great contents and your editing was superb!! My father spent a few years there from 1967-1970+. He brought us lovely hats and dolls from there! (He served in the military). However, I had no idea, it was so beautiful and Happy there! What a joyful country! Thank you for sharing! Brigitte in Tulsa Oklahoma
Omg I'm moving to Saigon on the 11th!!! I have been there 5 times in the last year and Love it!!! In Bangkok now and although much more modern I prefer the character and soul of Vietnam. YOUR marvelous channel was reccomend. 😁
Hi Benji! This made me so emotional to watch and I loved how you portrayed your whole Vietnam trip in such a simple way. I also just went back to Vietnam this year after 10 years to reconnect with my roots, so it felt nice to see another perspective on that through your videos :)
It cried a little at the end. This was really beautiful. So much love and nature. It was moving.
这才是人类本来该有的生活,祝你快乐
im currently in vietnam but watching your video makes me miss my hometown...
after having visited vietnam for the first time ever this past february, this makes me incredibly nostalgic QQ i haven't seen your other vids before but i'm assuming you're born and raised in the west like me and this might also be your first time visiting but yeah seeing this vid through your lens and seeing your fam gathered to make food and eat and laugh together at the signature smaller / cramped tables of vietnam ... tear in my eyes!!!! especially when you were just talking outside and your grandma just comes up to hand you some berries!!! so precious!! i truly hope your time in vietnam was wonderful :)
I'm a Vietnamese and I love vibe of this vlog so much omg
What a great memory you've made with your dad. So important you keep in touch with your heritage. I envy their lifestyle, and easy access to wonderful fruits and veggies. Thanks for sharing your trip.
OMG...that 's why you like plants...because your grangmom n pap....take care plants....farmer too
your grandparents have a beautiful home!
Thank YOU for sharing your family and showing us such a beautiful country.
This series has made me see Vietnam in a whole new light! Wonderful country. Thank you, Benji. ☺
I absolutely loved the Vietnam series! Thanks for sharing!
The end was so emotional 🥹❤️
This is the second time I cried when I watch your video, the other one is the plant job with Jiahao ❤
wow, your grandparents' home is gorgeous! i appreciated the context you provided to some vietnamese interior design choices. thank you so much for sharing!
You're really blessed to have such a close family. Because there are a lot of lonely people who don't have anyone. So be grateful for your life. You're awesome, Benji 👌
