You should check how poor Mykenzie ended up 5 years later. Not in any good place. And yes it had all to do with the school she went. Her mother sacrificed her own daughter for the promotion of her own ideology. Pretty sick.

Slightly harder to make white friends when you have to worry whether they even accept you as the same level of human. I remember being one of only 2 white kids in my class, being just as poor as everyone else, and it definitely had it's challenges. I learned that no matter the content of my character, there's some people that will always hate me so I except it and move on. I'm glad I had that experience though. It's easier to see the truth about things, especially through adversity. I do remember thinking to myself way back when getting into fights over just being white, "isn't this what they had the civil rights movement for?, so people don't get treated this way simply because of their skin color?" ... that was the other lesson,,," not everything is black and white".

JesusReigns 3:16 I beg to disagree a bit . You can even see it when the black kids goes to the white school for the tour. He said “idk what to say to them”. I don’t think it’s really a problem for white people talking to POC but POC get nervous a lot . I’m latina... not even a dark skin one . I’m pale asf . (Although I’m pale when you look at my facial features I don’t look of the Caucasian race, it’s obvious I’m latina) I went to a school that was like 80% white, 15% latino, & 5% black . And the white girls were very racist towards us Latinos . Like they dressed up as “Mexicans” for halloween type of openly-racist white girls. So when I get around white people I just forever have stuff like that ingrained in my mind & I get awkward . I feel like they look at me as a joke and just pretend to be nice . BESIDES THAT, I also have trouble talking to them because idk what to talk about . I grew up in a crowded and stressful immigrant household. We didn’t have the same childhood or get raised the same. the only time I feel comfortable talking to white people are the ones who grew up in my neighborhood with us . Eventho they still don’t go thru our exact struggles they been our neighbors , eat our food, naturally picked up a little accent to their speech, witnessed how we live. That’s the only time I feel like I can talk to them so yess “relating” is HUGE. I’m not saying I don’t give white people a chance if they’re not from my area but it just makes things more A LOTTTT more awkward at first. A lot of POCs feel that way .

If you’re a white person, attending a school that’s majority black, then naturally you’re going to feel slightly uncomfortable. Just the same as if it were in reverse, not necessarily because of racism or that you’re a target of the aforementioned. More so typically it depends on the circles you associate with, human beings are largely tribal creatures. Most of us prefer to be around other people who look like us, there are exceptions of course. If you’re white but grew up in an ethnic community then culturally you will be more drawn to that group. Same for blacks. It’s more a case of social status over colour of skin. The good thing about humans is that we learn to adapt.

White people would do the same and everyone else, Also just to finish of what you said was stereotypical and ignorant because not all black people live in the hood or go to schools in the hood 🙄

Judah DuBois because he says “whites don’t commit half the violent crimes” which indicates he may be white but then again you made a good point and I apologize if he is not white but he should still read the comment as it is still partially aimed at him I was also thinking that if he was asian or Mexican ect he wouldn’t of answered to this comment really because firstly it’s aimed at the “white” race and they’re obviously not white so that’s another point, Why would another totally different race answer another races question when they’re not that race, His comment embodies white people, someone from another race wouldn’t do that Idk it’s just common logic

Overlord Galvatron that response embodies white privileged societal disorder because it assumes that black children in predominantly white school environments are there to escape violence. The white kid at the predominantly black school is there to get an education and to challenge societal disenfranchisement of school resources based on race. None of the white kids were afraid for their lives at the black school. A black kid at an all white school is receiving an education in white Privilege. Understanding how tax payer dollars can be shifted to white, wealthier neighborhoods based on property taxes from neighborhoods designed for predominantly white homeowners. This goes further by reviewing the history of redlining and generational wealth. Our country, states and local governments are designed to force whites to live and go to school with other whites. How? Property values increase when whites vie for homes in neighborhoods that have great schools. Generational wealth has given whites an unearned edge while blacks were stuck in segregated neighborhoods and they were denied loans .Thereby keeping wealth and quality Schools locked in the white neighborhoods. It’s not equal when Education that one receives is based on your zip code. How is that equal? We essentially have separate but unequal. So a black kid coming into an all white school would have culture shock at the unfairness of the American education system and how easily it is for white kids to believe their advantage is based on hard work of their parents and not a governmental and educational industry designed to give them an advantage from the cradle to the grave. Our black kids can see this disparity and it causes confusion and fear of white people because they believe that blacks are inferior, violent and unintelligent. That black kid in an all white school needs a principal to check in on him or her or she can either become Chris Rock in everyone hates Raymond or Clarence Thomas hating her own race or if she’s lucky to have parents like Michelle Obama she bings her black culture to share with the white students. Both my kids were the only blacks at 99% white schools and it was tough. But I worked hard at steering them back to their African American roots. The white parents wanted my kids in their children’s lives because of our cultural values, manner and great respect for elders and love we have for one another. I personally don’t grew up in an all black neighborhood that was diverse in income, careers, education and backgrounds. I loved it. I felt beautiful, protected and I knew my culture and who I am am. I went to college and white people entered my life. I realized my confidence and sense of self and knowledge of African American contributions to the world made me a threat. I am strong and can handle it. But a lot of black kids don’t have the shield that I have and need a kind, generous adult to help them.

@@iironhide6209 To be honest this is not what I am talking about. We have been made as society to feel fear of black people in mainstream culture, but this is only to keep the attention away from the horrific acts done by primarily white people in the world. Lets say you are right, and that predominately black schools are more violent. We need to first understand why that is, and its due to unfair legislations in the 50's (mainly) that allowed for white impoverished families to escape through real-estate that was not denied to black families, on top of much much more. then we can look deeper, and understand why the majority of black people are living in the Americas, and we can understand it was not by choice initially, their ancestors did not come to escape poverty or famine or in hope of a new land, like most white people did. They were forced to come to the Americas. All I can say is the violence towards black and brown people inflicted by white people is FAR More scary and inhumane and disgusting than anything a black person has done to a white people. So I think it would be a fair questions to ask these black students, who are a minority within America, if they feel safe, if they feel as though they will be given the same respect and understanding that they are giving to their white counterparts.

  • @KoshVader

I think they tend not to think about it because black people being a minority is kind of the norm. Though you are absolutely right, it should be asked, especially in the current political climate. It's also interesting that this video asks what it's like to be one of the only white kids in a mostly black school but there aren't other videos about black kids in mostly white schools.

for four years in elementary school, I was the only black girl in a school full of white kids. Honestly I didn’t even notice a difference until some kid told me he was allergic to black kids. I didn’t understand him then because I didn’t see a difference between skin colour/ didn’t know racism existed but looking back at it now, I realise he was racist. edit: Guys He was just a kid and he didn’t know what he was saying. You're likely an affluent Nigerian girl that lives in a majority white area. Racism is much more apparent in poorer areas. I noticed it quickly in elementary school that kids would discriminate by leaving kids out who looked different from the group. I'm making an assumption about you being a rich Nigerian because Nigerians are the richest and most successful ethnic group in America.

We do not have segregated schools in the United States. The guy even admits the one school is public, and the other is private. The parents can choose to sent their kids to whichever school they want as long as they live in the district.
