You have no idea how much this video was insightful for me as a final year law student aspiring for an LLM in Harvard...!!!!! God Bless 😇 You can post a video as to when is it considered (generallly) the right juncture to apply/pursue LLM at Harvard (or any US Law schools).... i.e right after undergrad or some work ex in the interim wud be great kind of information. For now, you’ll need a standardized test score. So, the LSAT, the GRE-or JD next at some schools, which sort of mirror law school classes.

I think a clerkship would be a great experience! There’s no set work experience that will land you at Harvard--everyone does all sorts of things. I would go after what you’re most interested in. That being said, a Supreme Court clerkship would probably open up a lot of opportunities for you. So, I would go for it if you’re interested in it. But also prioritize what you’re most interested in if that’s feasible (e.g. art, technology, business, or any other areas).

@@LifeAfterHarvard thank you so much, yeah I am actually keen on pursuing teaching as a career. So for me I think a clerkship or some teaching experience wpuld do fine if not Harvard then at least Pennsylvania or Colombia.

@@AliGul-nf9xz I just got into Pennlaw with a clerkship in my home country (ireland). Waiting to hear from columbia and harvard. I heard American universities immensely value clerkships. I would definitely recommend doing one.

Yes, but to keep it short: the ones you’re most interested in! Follow your interests and experiment a little until you find your passions. It’s a lot of trial and error.

Is it possible to get to Harvard Law School? I applied to Harvard Law School LLM Program for 3 times (2018, 2019 and 2021 years) but Graduate Admission Commitee rejected my application. I even gave my essays to HLS alumni for proof reading. However, rewriting essays, huge profesional experience and exellent recommendation letters didnt help me to get place in LLM Program. How I can get to HLS?

Hey man and this is why Harvard is tough to get into even if you have the best letters and essays the probability of you getting into Harvard is 1 in 1000

I worked with a student who got in after the third or fourth time. I would say just keep pushing towards your goals and don’t take it personally. It’s really just luck. Happy to help in any way! Thanks for supporting the channel

Sorry, I didn’t read my comment before sending it. What if, in this case the pre-law degree was obtained from a US university? Would that still be eligible? And also, do you think passing the bar exam (in states where it’s not required JD before taking it) will make a difference for the applicants?
