Mod was hating Ned ALL the time, as u can see, she was okay with her husband going to die in nuclear explosion (scene in shelter) Didnt love him, as u can see by her sleeping position. Hate Marge. Was very manipulative and i could go for a long writing, but this should proof enough how terrible and fake person she was

I wish they never killed off Maude. I mean, seriously, ever since she died Ned has been acting crazier than he did before and it's making me feel worried about his kids.

Well in the episode where Kent Brockman got fired for swearing on live television we see Ned categorizing his tapes. He had a bunch in the naughty pile and the only tapes that were on the nice pile was The 700 Club and a test pattern. At one point his sons with genuine concern says, " Daddy, we think it's time for you to get a new Mommy."

I think the creators exaggerated killing the character for some extra money asked by the actress, maybe a recast or just a background character that doesn’t speak.

Fact of Interest: Maude's maiden appearance was in Season 2's "Dead Putting Society",where Bart takes on Todd Flanders in a grudge miniature golf match.

The song is called time to say good bye in the background.

They really missed chance for n interesting episode: Ned and Homers vegas wives come to Springfield to live with them. Marge and homer, Maude and Ned get into a huge argument about that. Marge, knowing that homer always does dumb sh*t, forgives him but Maude doesn't forgive Ned and they divorce.

I wish they would find some way to bring her back. Her VA returned, right? And there have been crazier things, like that crossover with Family Guy, and another with Futurama. All I know is she was Ned's rock, poor Ned seems lost without her, especially after losing Edna as well, although I haven't really watched TV in years so maybe things are better for Ned now.

I think i remember reading that she got killed off the show because the voice actress asked for a small raise after waiting to do so for years... I think it was because she just wanted an extra $1,000 to help cover her commute because she had to travel far to record episodes. I guess Fox told her to fuck off and then she got upset and they ended up killing her off. Shame. I actually kinda liked her character. The super religious neighbor's hot wife.

When family guy did a cameo on the simpsons. Stewie Bart and Brian should have gone back in time to save Maude and bring her back.

Maud really is a statalite character. She dosent really have a function outside of being Flanders wife. Contrast that with say Smithers who has a role outside of Burns manservant, or Wiggum has a function beyond policeman. The same with Rodd and Todd. I think the pretzel episode is the only one with her but no Flanders. I am pleased in the episode were they kill her to be about Flanders reaction.
