@@Dacarta-nw6ql yup and the opponent attacks so quickly it becomes a waste of time defense as a whole is trash in the game your always too slow or you miss cause his swings have no reach I grinded the whole first areas for the stats to not make a difference anyway lol I rather play dark souls I’m tired of these copies this was the game I wanted all year and I’m disappointed 😔

Painful to watch but early in the game. Youll get better when you learn the mechanics

You don’t have to lock on to the enemies, you just have to be facing their direction while blocking or parrying.

The game is a must buy. Hopefully you found more fun out of it.

$75 and ng takes about 100 hours if you really take your time and turn every stone. If they make some simple changes to ng+ it’d be a no brainer. Was a little disappointed in the lack of changes but don’t wanna be too greedy

Lock target and time your blocks, Lies of P is a great souls like game.

I’m gonna say this is this guys first dungeon crawler/souls like and doesn’t even know about auto camera locking so you don’t have to turn like that

gotta be fucking around to get more traction. ain’t no way you genuinely don’t understand universal lock on *especially when it’s pointed out to you*

There’s value in dodging towards the wind up of an attack. Also, in these games where partying is vital, dodging is mostly for spacing away from corners or ambushes while parrying is the way for most attacks.

Just started playing this and its difficult, but its fun trying to figure out how to fight the enemies...even after dying alot, the game manages to make you want to try again. Very impressed so far.

You got this bro. A few solid tips if I may, when learning to block, even learning the timings for perfect block, start your block at the absolute start of the attackers animation. A: you’ll realize what kind of reaction time you have B: you’ll gain confidence with realizing your reaction time is better than you thought. Anticipating death upon bosses is a smart route, your very first time facing a boss at least. Take the first time to learn the bosses attacks. Block anything and everything and make sure to take mental note of when the boss takes a pause in between their attacks (this is YOUR attack window). If you have trouble perfect blocking, try holding the block button instead of simply tapping it when the timing is there. Lastly, make use of sprinting attacks too! They help close the gap if your weapon doesn’t have enough range! 🤙🏼🤙🏼

By hard buy he means its a must buy, hard not to buy, hell if you have gamepass its free. This game is amazing. Im not even a dark souls fan but this game is just it for me. Elden ring was fun but idk something about it didnt capture me entirely ig cause i was given too much freedom and i prefer more direct story telling vs piecing it together like elden ring wants you to and this game took what i liked about elden ring and gave me a direct story. 10/10 i dont even participate in game awards but i made damn sure to vote for this game.

Just finished my first run and it was the best game experience of my life

Literally turned it off at that guy after dying for the 10th time lol

I beat the Parade master after about 20 attempts last night, went to the hotel and the opening credits started. I switched off and went to bed.

Blocking lets you attack to get some HP back, similar to Bloodborne if you've played that. Timing the block perfectly will parry and you take no damage, plus if you parry enough you break their weapon

My advice, even tho the dodge is easier and very tempting to use, never use it. Only dodge grab attacks and AOE attacks. You'll need to learn the parry timing for later in the game trust me

Does he know lock-on exists and can be toggled on and off?

When I was playing the demo I was on the fence. When I got the full, finished game though it was awesome. One of the few souls like games I’ve finished and started new game +. Also I went through the tutorial and actually did the things. How do you die to this mini boss? Xp
