I like how the Puppet of the Future is basically all elevator sound effects from Souls games put into a boss.

I truly think that the handle/edge mix of weapons is GENIUS and FROM will have to implement something like that one day in one future game of theirs.

Yeah the fact that the Archbishop boss just straight up says “Im a one winged angel” sheesh… Im sure the combat will scratch that Bloodborne itch for some people, but I dont really want to talk to an NPC who starts off the conversation with: “Hello my fellow Mario Brother, and a very Legend of Zelda Ankha Dark Souls 2 Kefka to you, young man!”

@@xviii5780 The fact that he’s blatantly referencing a boss from Final Fantasy is weird. Especially since Sephiroth is so famous that everyone knows him. They didnt need to include that line, his design alone is sort of an obvious reference. I dont mind easter eggs or references, but hearing it out loud in a boss fight is really jarring. Its kind of tacky in my opinion

Parrying in this game is more rewarding than in From Software games and easier to do too. Plus any weapon can parry too, that helps. What you unlocked at the end of the demo could make the game too easy though, so I'm not sure how the difficulty will be in the final game.

Yeah but the archbishop is easier then the King of Flame if u ask me. I needed 14+ tries on Flame / only 4 tries on the bichop (strenght-build) but the fight takes so freaking long if you dont use a fire-weapon (greatsword+policebat handle ain't really cutting it) 😅

That's how most Souls games go, so that's probably why they made the decision. Though, this game actually has a lot more BGM than a Souls game even though it is few and far between. And when music isn't playing, there's a good deal of atmospheric sound.

Obviously this game doesn't come close to the original Fromsoft Souls, but if you're a soul-like fan, I think you'll be able to enjoy it :)

Maybe it's different when you actually play, but from watching it just looks like a clunky version of bloodborne with some hints of sekiro. Similar weapons, abilities, items, even boss concepts. The fallen archbishop? Really? I don't mean to just hate, cause I was kinda excited for this at first, but I can't say I'm too impressed after seeing more. It seems like it's just a copy of bloodborne. I was really hoping to see something new, something a bit more unique or original. We are getting alot of games like these lately, but none of them seem to hold a candle to what Fromsoft does...

The demo played better than any dark soul game but the world itself isn't as appealing at first. We'll have to wait for full release and at least a full playthrough to have a definitive opinion about this game before making any more comparisons. Comparing a demo or a chapter to games we all have finished quite a few times already isn't fair. I did multiple playthroughs of DS1, 2 and 3 but only 1 of elden ring. Loved the journey but I didn't want to start another character in this one. So, wait and see.

How easy and derp the game got thanks to trashmogold? I remember the devs made an interview with the last person on earth to ask how the game should be and there was a very high chance for the pve to get nerfed to the ground.

AC6 is fun the first time but then you use the same 2 different builds and crush anything too easily. Not the depth and difficulty I expected. I mean you pretty much 1st try all the arena fights and get the n°1 title without having the best pieces unlocked...

I’m not up my ass or anything. Go back to ds1 and ds2 and play those games again in 2023. They feel like absolute garbage to play. That’s how Fromsoftware also started out. Every souls streamer and ytuber I know have said extremely positive things about it. These are veterans of the genre and know what they’re talking about. Now go hate somewhere else, or just go back to your warzone games

I really do enjoy the game. "Sure it's no Elden Ring but hell it's really good soulslike game coming close to DS3" and I love the setting it's very creative, hope to see a tale-soulslike-universe in the future. Maybe Alice from Wonderland next. 😘
