Hey! so I just double checked the recordings and once Dorothy taps her shoes, its just the "key/tone" trailing off for ~3 more seconds. It did not seem important enough to leave in the video. So if you heard something different, I'll have to beat the game again to see that!

She hums it right up until the piano chimes in and plays the final note of the theme. You're not missing anything major by excluding it, it's just a neat detail.

Damn! If the creators of Lies of P were able to turn a children's book like The Adventures of Pinocchio into a grimdark soulslike game, imagine what they are gonna do with The Wizard of Oz. When I first saw the scene and heard the name, I wondered who's Dorothy? I don't remember a character named Dorothy in Pinocchio. Then I saw the red heels, and it all clicked at once. I audibly exclaimed "Oh shit!" The potential for a soulslike Wizard of Oz is insane. I can already imagine how crazy the Emerald city would look like in a soulslike dark fantasy setting. I really hope they make it after the success of Lies of P!

Ok, here me out, what if instead of a grimdark aesthetic like Bloodborne/Dark Souls. It keeps the gameplay similar, but the aesthetic is akin to this game called Nightingale, if anyone's heard of it? Like, instead of a gritty, dark atmosphere, it'd have a mostly ethereal atmosphere with some enemies that look scary, not all, just...some.

I did get somewhat of a Mad Hatter vibe from Giangio, just his erratic behaviour when we first met him and the shift in personality during the ending cut scene. Also, the whole Wishstone concept came out of nowhere to me and is seemingly just magic, compared to all the other phenomena that could be called magic, the Cube and Wishstone has little basis in any kind of Science or alchemy. The description of them in game, don't say a lot either: "The people of ancient Krat knew how to bottle a wish upon a star. The Wishstone could be put in a Cube made from a meteorite to display special powers."

@@chriswihulu I've actually an idea for a game called "Wonders of U" (U for Underland, another name for Wonderland) where Alice is a young detective hired by the Alchemists guild to track Philippus Paracelsus down after he mysteriously vanished & it's revealed that he became the Mad Hatter after lost his mind trying to find a way home out of Underland.

Looks like they're setting up a universe of souls like games based on fables. Im here for it

This is why the public domain is vital. It allows people to expand and recreate stories. We have only started seeing a return of works entering the public domain in the past couple of years. The long drought is due to Disney 😠. We could see some kafka in the future.

So this means we might also have a chance to see the character of Little Red Riding Hood, many don't know but that fairy tale was much darker originally.

This post-credit scene gave me so much brainrot, y'all don't even know. Anyways, if I had to picture Dorothy's Unique Weapon (Like the "Legion Arm" with Pinocchio), I can picture the type of slippers she wears giving her the ability to harness the forces of natural disasters to fight off the Wicked Witch of the West & her army of Flying Monkeys (I.E: Ruby = Wildfires or Volcanic Eruptions, Silver = Tornados/Cyclones/Hurricanes, Topaz = Earthquakes, Aquamarine = Floods/Tsunamis, Opal = Thunderstorms, & Sapphire = Blizzards/Ice Storms). Of course I'd be lying if I didn't want to see her wield a weapon like Pinocchio does, but, I really, really, REALLY want to see Dorothy be part Storm Mage.

Dorothy would be a cool experience because each area with the tinman, lion, scarecrow could be their own world! then OZ... the all powerful Or if they tie in Pinocchio because Giangio could use Dorothy to get his arm (the arm of god)

I hope The Wizard of Oz teaser becomes it's own game. However, if this becomes a DLC, I can see Geppeto's puppet playing the roll of The Tin Man helping Dorothy fight more crazed alchemists making flying monkeys and actually casting "magic" at you.

Studio 8 have nailed this theme for so many games. (Just finished the game) dorothy will for sure be the character you play. The good witch will be your level NPC and guide, the lion tinman and scarecrow will be the npcs you save or assist you in your journey.

I think this is trying to show this is gonna another game all linked by fables you have Pinocchio, the wizard of oz and Then paracelsus himself is quite interesting if you look into it, he was a Swiss physician and alchemist who made medicines no one had thought of and revolutionised medicine, it seems in Lies Of P they have him have him looking for immortality you could say the ultimate medicine to stop all ailments essentially, do with this information as you please. 😁😂

Interesting how he left Krat, and is going to find Dorothy, but she is in Krat? I like how he's apparently going to be the focus of the DLC... did he even have the petrification disease or was that just a cover story? We know from this scene that he wasn't really an alchemist, and it felt like his story was touched on the least throughout the game, makes sense when you see this, but it leaves even more questions. Very excited for the DLC and eventual sequel/ spin-off/ series continuation.

There’s a book called Dorothy Must Die wherein Dorothy finds a way back to Oz, learns magic (and becomes addicted to it), takes over Oz as a fascist ruler. The main Character is another girl from Kansas who finds herself magically transported to Oz via Tornado by a council of wicked witches who seek to train her to become an assassin to kill Dorothy. It’s a dark and twisted Oz If you like wizard of Oz…it’s great! Dorothy makes a *fantastic* villain. I hope they take inspiration from that 😄

@@ModWalker Highly recommend the book series too. Tinman is in love with Dorothy and has knives for fingers. Scarecrow has turned mad scientist and performs horrific experiments on Oz’ citizens. The cowardly Lion is now called King of Beasts and all the animals in Oz report to him. Glinda is *not* good and has an army of little identical little girls with razor-sharp teeth. They form Dorothy’s inner circle and nobody is allowed to use magic besides them. It also references *all* Oz media- including the Oz books and return to Oz etc. 😊

This game was great. Not as great as bloodborne but it definitely was an amazing game. And after watching this cliff hanger, it made me crave a sequel. This idea was genius.

So "Giangio"'a real name is Philippus Paracelsus, Giangio is an actual character in the Pinocchio book and in the Oz stories there's a reoccurring character called Paracelsus, this is fantastic story writing but something I noticed is when he leaves he signs the letter with "-P.P" which are obviously his initials but with the childrens story book route we're going here is it possible he's actually Peter Pan?

technically MGM gave Dorothy ruby slippers for the movie, so its protected till 2034. but in the original story Dorothy wore magically silver slippers. So either they have MGM's permission or they're gonna change them to silver.

I already know there are some Gen Z who didn’t understand that whole scene. When I first saw those red slippers I didn’t quite understand either. It wasn’t until that first tap, my heart skipped a beat and I got goosebumps!

Trust me lies of p is worth it. Doesn’t matter if you suck. If you spend enough time I promise you will get better. Just learn the mechanics and focus. If you think lies of p is to hard then you will also think the same of the wizard of oz dlc or game.

This game isnt too hard.. took 2 days to beat it, it was pretty fun

@ModWalker some boss fights really require a lot of patience and pro-activeness but once you get the rhytm you are a beast. the final boss took me 2 hours to beat but I'd loved every single moment of that fight

@KY-ji4wd True, but the Souls series is not suppose to be easy... I remember playing demon souls in 2009 and it took me almost a week to kill the first boss. I had to learn how to actually play defensively. But when i did! I felt great and it made fighting the rest of the enemies a breeze

Honestly the game is pretty difficult at times, but some things in it make it rather easy if you use them right.
