Thanks very much for an informative video. I am thinking about a Liebherr, but am concerned about their warrenty, as it specifies that it has to come from a recommended retailer. When you look at those on their site, they all seem to be specialist kitchen shops! I am unable to get to a shop anyway, so would HAVE to buy online. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

The lenght of the power cord? That seems to vary between 1,42 m to 2,10 m depending on who is selling.

@lordselectrical Does the CU3331 have an alarm reset button? I have had a frost free Liebherr CUN 3033 fridge freezer for 10 years. I had to have a sensor replaced after 5 years and believe it needs another replaced now as the alarm goes off intermittently. The part only costs about £15 but the labour was £120. The engineer had to use a hairdryer to melt the wall of ice behind the panel at the back of the drawers, hence the high labour cost. I love how robust the drawers and shelves are and the storage arrangement on the inside door but I don't think their electronics match. I don't know if I want to repair it again as the cost is likely to be about 25% of a new one.

I was looking at a Bosch fridge freezer on here the other day, and several of the commenters also had problems with a continuous alarm! Should there have been an ice build up in that area?? For my needs, I really need a 50/50 one, with 4 freezer drawers, which seems impossible to find, unless you go with the really cheap ones, which according to Which, aren't usually very good. So....I began looking at the Liebherr ones, which are all very expensive! Your post is putting me off a bit though. Any advice would be much appreciated. If I DO go for a Liebherr, with a budget of around £600-700 I would definitely want one with a D or E rating! A reviewer mentioned that their D rated one was costing 3 times less than their old fridge freezer. My current, 16 Yr old Samsung will obviously be costing about the same to run.

I have enjoyed watching several of your videos .My problem is why has Panasonic seemingly gone off the market for fridge freezers ?.Approx 11years ago I bought a superb no frost fridge freezer .Wonderful .This year the compressor died .New Panasonic fridge freezers are no longer available in Germany . Cannot get an answer as to why ..The Liebherr is fine but seriously have no wish to return to defrosting even once a year..The quality looks good but ...Have you any advice ? Have come through the summer minus such but enough is enough .Another question with such a machine does one hear the motor cutting in and out ? Have been used to a very silent Panasonic minus frost .Paradise .Hope you can help

The Panasonic fridge freezers were very good and it is a shame they have discontinued them. Apparantly they weren't making enough money on the range so they were pulled. Brands like Liebherr do offer frost free models as well which i would normally recommend. You are correct to compare the models to try and find a quiet one as well. Not sure if you still have the old energy label on yours which should have the noise level on it so at least you can compare it to any new ones on the market

I have a max budget of about £600-£650, which means I could get a Liebherr fridge freezer. I need a 50/50 one, which seems to be be much harder to get in any brand! Could anybody recommend Liebherr?

There really isn't a lot in them in the 60cm models but in the 55cm versions we would normally say Liebherr is better as the build quality is a bit better on these models.

I believe this company manufactures Miele fridge freezers, just changing name plate?

@@lords-electrical Which is cheaper? Do you know of other Miele products manufactured by other companies? I was advised not to buy Miele F/F as not a Miele product, purchased Bosch on line from John Lewis and made a big error which I’m stuck with for 10years. (No alarm, freezer not frost free, unnecessary water cooler and smaller) should have watched your presentation and seen product in shop, live and learn.

@@jeanjacques9980 I know it’s a little late, but there are no other Miele products that are manufactured by any other company as far as I’m aware. One thing I can say, be wary about a number of Bosch fridge freezers. They have farmed out some of their own manufacturing to Hisense. As an example, one of their fridge freezers is exactly the same as a one of the Hisense models. Same part numbers, same motor, same compressor, same performance, same paperwork, everything. The Hisense version got a Which ‘Don’t Buy’ rating for poor freezing and terrible temperature control. The Bosch one is different only by the branding and a different external door design. Food for thought.

@@sloeginandsleep1170 Thank you for the useful information, yes you cannot rely on a manufacturer’s label these days. But I’m fairly certain that Miele fridge freezers are not made by Miele, they are made in a factory that produces fridge freezers under three different brand names? Happy to be corrected. Very disappointed indeed by the Bosch F/F I purchased on-line from John Lewis, not due to reliability issues, design faults, amongst many other failings no alarm, yet a F/F purchased in1990 had an alarm, really handy if doors left slightly ajar from closing too vigorously, prevents defrost. I will be very careful on next purchase, if alive, hoping this one will see me out!

@@jeanjacques9980 I apologise, I miss-worded that slightly. I meant that there are no Miele branded products that are made by other companies, other than the refrigeration ones. They are made my Liebherr. Apart from that, they are all made in house. Most Miele white goods are great. The fridge freezers I can’t comment on much. Apart from my mother in law who has one (Definitely made my Liebherr) and it’s been faultless for 5 years so far.
