in my favorite local supermarket in the US the banana section resembles any other banana section of a larger store EXCEPT along the right hand edge there is always, laid out neatly, several rows (running top to bottom) of single bananas. Some are super ripe, some are perfect and some are green. It's really nice if you are buying a smaller bunch but also want a few green ones to ripen later OR if you want one or two that are perfectly ripe.

How nice of the apartment owner to stock up some groceries for you. Love seeing the different foods in the grocery store... you got a great selection. Speaking of IB avoiding wheat ....... have you heard of sour dough pasta? My g'f was telling me about it as she cannot handle foods with wheat as she gets a horrible digestion problem. But, she can eat the sour dough pasta with no problem and she said it tastes wonderful. I peeked at Amazon and saw that I can get it. Yes, it's a little more expensive, but if my tummy is happy, then it's worth it. You can google sour dough pasta v regular pasta and there's info on the pro's about it. I only use sour dough bread for myself and I have no issues at all. Happy digestion to IB...... ha 💕

My local lidl here in England has that flavoured tofu, but not all the time. The basil one is nice

My aunt always went to Spain on holidays. She used to say how lovely the fruit was out there. That was kind of your hosts to provide some gluten free food. The trick with cooking gluten free pasta is not to overcook it. A little olive oil and salt in the boiling water, and gently stir once a few minutes into cooking. I pour boiling water from the kettle over the dry pasta in the pan. When you get back home, try the dried filled gluten free pasta from Morrisons. Really nice, it’s in big boxes with the free from section. The one with cheesy spinach is gorgeous. I really enjoyed being nosy with your shopping Imo. Interesting seeing what they have compared to UK shops. The size on that green pepper 🫑 Blimey!

We don’t keep tomatoes in the frig…..it seems to change the flavor 🤷‍♀️
