😭 I know what it's like losing a loved one not the easiest thing. My great-grandmother passed away on March 14 which my birthday was March 6th after a few days past March 14th came and she died on that day at 8:45 in the morning I still miss her very much but I know she's also in a better place. I know your pain and it's not easy

I'm asking Our Lady to pray for your comfort and knowledge that your wonderful Great Grandma is not without you or her loved ones. Heaven is too much for us to fully grasp here on Earth so I think our souls and their spirit still communicate and love and uplift. Your Great GMa loves you SO much and I'm sure you gave her tremendous joy in her older years of challenges ❤.

Hi Lidia, I need to tell you this, I have been watching your show every week. I am from Sydney Australia, born in Sicily. I am a very good Italian cook, but I still enjoy your show. I l8ve that you show Trentino and various parts of North Italy. My children don't speak Italian but when my little 3 year old comes to visit, I say to her. Now belkavrepeat after nonna. "Tutti a tavola a mangiare" so she lifts her hands up like a little Italian and says it all. She loves Italian food. Compliments your show is lovely because your cooking is like being in my kitchen. No fancy stuff, just good delicious food we all love xx regards Bancy

The Very Very BEST Chef in Italian Cooking! Have been watching, learning from Her from the beginnings of her Televised Shows years ago. She re-taught this Italian how to really cook!

I have loved her as well. I finally when to her big restaurant deli store here in Chicago. She share this one and the bug restaurant deli store in New York with one or two other big time chefs. So nice.

Ciao, Lidia----mi fa davvero tanto piacere guardare i tuoi programmi. As yourself, I immigrated from Italy----I was a very young child, yet, I recall many bittersweet memories. I always have your show on----your stories are so reminiscent of my small hamlet in Calabria. Please do not take this the wrong way. But, as an Educator, I must make you aware that the word "shrimp" is not pluralized. The noun does not take an 's' in its plural form. It's like the word "sheep" ---does not take a plural form. Shrimp is both singular and plural. Ciao, bellissima---tante belle cose e benedizioni. Stay safe!!

Lidia has probably taught me more about cooking than any other TV chef. That's why i was so shocked to discover how truly bland her tomato sauce is. I'd rather spend my money on Victoria or Rao. Needs salt, needs spice, needs olive oil. I think she really sold out.

I love her programs she's a great cook the only thing I dislike and I've been cooking no I'm 50 years old and I'm a pretty good cook I'm not a chef. The only thing I dislike and I am of a Mexican background is when I watch whatever Chef is on TV and the background and they always say oh oh we're Italian food is our most important thing or whatever culture where Mexican food is our most important thing wow what is the most important thing for anyone! I find it very annoying for anyone from any particular culture to say oh we in our culture find food the most important thing unlike anyone else. I love all different cultures and I appreciate all the different foods but I don't think any culture should brag that their food is better than anyone else is and that only they know how to share food with their families because it's absurd.

I wasn't hating on her at all the only thing I was trying to say is that every culture loves to eat food and I just dislike when one culture says ooo-wee love food more than anyone else again I'm Mexican we love tacos more than anyone else that doesn't mean that other people don't appreciate them and don't appreciate their own food that is all I was trying to say

Her mother tongue is Italian. In romance laguages shrimp is usually plural. That's probably why.
