This is a short trailside section right off of the Cooper's Rock Exit on i68, which requires an insane amount of rain to run. This is the micro to run when every other micro is out. For reference, the Upper Yough in Friendsville reached over 10,000 CFS, the Lower Big Sandy reached over 13 Ft, and every other small creek was simply too big. And this run still could've used more water.
Lick Run is a tributary to Little Laurel Run, and we hiked up and ran one drop on it. Peter informed Christina and me that we got the 4th and 5th descent on the drop, which is pretty cool. Afterward, we hiked up and ran the main rapid on Little Laurel Run 3x, then hiked up even further and ran past the main rapid even further, which made out for a sweet scenic remote micro run. Little Laurel Run then flows into Laurel Run, a Big Sandy creek tributary. This is the perfect place to learn how to run slides on creeks, however, this creek does not run often whatsoever. Such a beautiful place!

Beautiful run. Something that small has the potential to be full of strainers. Sure looked like some of the snags had been cut with a saw.

a bunch of logs had been cut out to be safe for kayakers, but it's bound to pick up more wood. It is definitely one of the more beautiful runs in the area!
