It is hard to convey what getting a driver’s license used to mean. It wasn’t traffic jams, road rage, and tolls and fees. It was this. A chance to get out and see the world. Maybe with a girl if you were lucky!

Don't ever remake this movie. It's perfect the way it is. I am 38 and grew up playing this vhs over and over.

Never will I forget watching the 1988 Greg Beeman film 'License to Drive' at the cinema whilst on holiday in Michigan nearly thirty-six years ago. I even like to watch the film - 'Papá Cadillac' - dubbed in Castilian Spanish (Spain) through a Russian bootleg video streaming site.
