I like the fact that AJ mentioned future hits because I write from my likes, creativity. I don't like when libraries ask who do you sound like. I sound like me, I don't want to mimic anyone.
This was amazing and so informative. Thank you Jesse for putting this interview together, and thank you AJ for your time and for sharing your experience & advice.
Great interview Jesse! It's always inspiring to hear someone like AJ share his knowledge and time with others. Another humble and sharing soul like yourself!
You’re doing some great stuff Jesse. Thanks for this. A great watch. A.J. Knows every track in his library! That speaks volumes about quality.
Hi Jesse, I just scrolled across the episode and I’m thankful I did. I really appreciate your questions and comments. A.J. Was a great guest and you both were very informative. All the best to you and yours!
Awesome interview! Thanks Jesse and A.J for sharing your knowledge!
That was superb . More of this kind of thing!
FANTASTIC interview! Thank so much!
Staying flexible... and going for the long game!
Thanks Jesse and A.J. I really enjoyed it and thanks for the info and opportunity sharing.
Great interview and very helpful. Thank you both!
Awesome!! Thankyou AJ and Jesse
This helped me a lot and enjoyed and learned some crucial things. Thanks !!!!!!
Fantastic! Thank you gentlemen!
My goodness… I would absolutely LOVE to work with that man. So much passion and interest. The community aspect of everything; it’s beautiful. Finding a partnership with someone like this is MY personal Future Hit. I have what it takes. Just need those connections. This is beautiful… #producergoals

Hey Jesse, great content! This is the kind of person we should all work with. - Gabe@SA
Great interview ! Lots of gems 💎
I would have liked to know if AJ would consider instrumentals... I know a lot of sync doesn't want vocals, and that a lot of what Sync My Music shows doesn't usually deal with vocal production... but doesn't that run in the face of the Holy Trinity? It would be interesting to know if instrumentals are an option... especially for a songwriter who can't sing...
Awesome content! I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel. I'm an example of someone who has worn themselves out trying to get sync on his own. It's painfully grueling.....and I'm completely unsuccessful.
Incredibly informative. Thanks, Jesse!
Great interview!
Very informative! Thanks guys!
Awesomely inspiring show there bro, I’ve been considering joining sync academy for a year or so now and this video is pushing me to commit and finally become a member.

Good question
He has done alot of great shows
so do they take songs that have already been released on spotify or have to be unreleased?
Hey Jesse! Quick review: Yes, please keep doing the podcast. I really enjoy each and every one of them and I take some serious advice with‘em. Best Andy by the way: KZread isn‘t adfree since the last few years but your content is even worth minutes of advertisement. Also I can listen to licensed tracks in that short amount of time. ;)

@@SyncMyMusic Hey Jesse. 1 or 2 weeks ago I sometimes saw ads on some older ones. Just right now I took some minutes to open up some videos (I think I skipped through 30 or so). There were 2 videos where ads have started.

Thank You for this podcast. Your crystallization of ?'s and idea's I believe we all need. I believe that CLEERKUT ROYALTY has a very good platform for cuts and splits that are then registered. I have been working with licensing since last spring, there is plenty to do, and learn. What to place emphasis on is a mystery. Lastly, personal feedback seems hard to find.

Hey Jesse, do you have any idea how to get into Source Audio? Many music libraries are using it as tracks catalog but it doesn't seem to let me in. I created an account and their response that they will review the account but when they got back to me they informed me that my account is declined. What does this mean? Future hits also uses SA

Source Audio is not a Library - it's a music hosting service for Libraries to use to shop their catalogues to their clients. You likely got declined because you're not a Library.

@@SyncMyMusic thanks Jesse do you know how do composers submit in these libraries? They don't have an upload method like Crucial Music for instance

OK, what I mean is if I write a song and it is not what's hip on today's charts, can I write something that sounds like no one in particular and not what's popular, but still be acceptable in sync licensing?
@SyncMyMusic

Yes, but for this interview we're only talking about the needs of his Music Library. There are TONS of companies out there that will take music that doesn't sound like top 40 songs.

@@SyncMyMusic I listened to a number of tracks on his site and there is a lot of jazz, blues, and a few other genres.
Just got my answer
Never heard future hits
Wondering about A.J's agreements with his writers; been seeing Sync libraries that, rather than getting a percentage for the sync they negotiate, they are placing themselves as composers of the songs and setting themselves up to collect all the backend money with the "Pros"... It's sort of a frightening & frustrating chore to have trustworthy representation. ... I appreciate AJ's knowledge & your good questions. 👍

Which Libraires are doing that?
What about artists that don't make beats...isn't there a catch if u don't make the beat? Even though u have permission.

You need to be able to create recorded music in order to parter with Libraries.
Top 50 charts as mentioned but what about focusing on TV , Films, and trailers that aren't "hits".

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you rephrase the question?
Why would ANYONE write a song without the goal of it being "the very best song ever made"?
@SyncMyMusic
3 ай бұрын
Because that kind of thinking is called perfectionism. It can seriously hinder our ability to just continue to finish a song even if it’s not the “best” song ever written.
