It's a Christian university...the whole point of those rules is to keep people from being stupid college kids who get into trouble. Having attended the school myself it's not that bad. If you don't like it go somewhere else or move off campus. And the sweatpants thing is such a lie. People wore sweatpants all the time, there are certain classes and levels of majors where business attire is required but again, dont take them or be in that major if you dont like wearing adult clothes.

Right??? I wore sweatpants everyday. I moved off campus and had zero problems. If the boys and girls follow rules then their would a lot less instances of SA and when something like that does happen it literally can’t be the University’s fault because they prohibited it in the first place

I like how the students are pointing out the 10 bad things when they ignore the insane number of good things... The messhall is open from like 7am-9pm and you can get food WHENEVER, tons of restaurants will take the flames cash or dining dollars and the meal swipes are essentially free. The one and only limit is the hour between each swipe. The classes are legit and the professors work hard to give the students a good education. The president of the school is literally EVERYONE'S hero. The hall life is pretty chill and the RAs are kind and the hall becomes a family in a way. Yeah there's a curfew that the RAs enforce (though you can sign out for a few hours or overnight), but the amount of positives at LU massively outnumber the negatives. There's a reason that LU is home to 110,000 students both residentially and online

Once in a while we have open dorms, like once every month or two and frankly, if you’re so desperate to talk to a girl, just do it elsewhere. If you’re desperate to have pre-marital sex (married couples are supposed to stay off-campus iirc, and the sex thing is the very reason we don’t have regularly open dorms) then you probably shouldn’t be going to a Christian school, although the education will usually be far better than most public universities.

I will admit we do not have the same common sense as a thirty year old. And letting young adults have almost free rein on other secular campuses has not gone very well, has it? Hmm. Not in my opinion 😂 I am beyond glad to hopefully attend a school next year that has these rules in place for many, many reasons. One of which being that I don’t trust other modern campuses because of what happens. They aren’t controlling your every decision, just making sure you’re not an idiot lol. If you have a problem with these rules, maybe reevaluate your own maturity before claiming this school has very little freedom and treats the young adults like children.
