I have over 40 years experience in comic book collecting and a wide range of life experiences including having earned a PhD in engineering from the University of Michigan. I apply my experiences to help you level up your comic book game primarily through three kinds of content.
The first is deep dive comic book unboxings in which we talk about the historical relevance of a comic book, the creators, why the comic book matters, as well as market analysis-the supply and demand factors that determine the fair market value of a comic book at any given time.
Secondly, i do comic book conservation how-to videos. There is a vast peer-reviewed literature of paper conservation science, and i scour this literature looking for proven archival methods i can bring to our hobby and i share them with you. I like to review the origins of these methods and give credit to the conservationists that developed them and explain to to you not only how to perform them, but when and why you should perform them. Comic books are manufactured from cheap pulp paper that was not designed to last. It’s our responsibility to be responsible caretakers of our hobby’s legacy, and comic book conservation plays an important role in our ability to preserve our cherished collectibles.
